Heya! I have been trying to do the quest "Finding Saerielle". It says to go to Faerina's shrine in Umbra forest and find her there. I have tried and tried and tried countless times, and I still cannot find her?? All that I find from exploring that area is enemies or something "mysterious" ahead. And 100% of the time, this "mysterious" item is just a bunch of enemies. I also very rarely find a treasure chest, which only shoots poisonous darts into one of my pets every time I open it. I am not sure what to do. I have been at this quest for days now, to no avail. Nothing changes. And there are so many enemy battles that my pets are constantly losing health. I have to pay gold every time they are unconscious, and I am afraid I will run out of gold having to do this. Is there something I need to do to complete this quest? Is it a glitch or something? How can I abandon this quest? Thanks!

You have to kill so many enemies to get to her, so if you are running from attacks it will take a lot longer. I suggest just going through and killing them head on. Also you can take your pets off your team and give them a few hours break and they will auto heal as long as you feed them.

You just need to keep looking :[. *Shrugs* No you cant abandon this particular quest, as its part of the game story, and you need to complete it in order to advance in the game.

As to the healing, you actually dont need to pay for that. All you have to do, if youre willing to wait, is leave your pets alone for awhile, and their health will return fully.

I also just checked out the pets youre using, and there are a couple of things you need to fix.
. They both have a proficiency point that needs to be put toward a stat, so you have to do that.
. You need to change some of their equipment around, especially Violets. The way resilience/health and attack strength work in this particular game is the equipment each pet has boosts their stats, depending on what element each one has been attuned to. All the elements are grouped into two categories: ones that do physical damage (Air, Earth, and Water), and ones that do magical damage (Fire, Light, and Shadow/Darkness). The element you chose for Violet is in the first category, so she needs equipment that boosts physical damage. While two of the things you gave her (her shield/relic & second accessory) do do that, neither one is actually very effective, because stuff in that particular category splits the boosting power between physical & magical damage. Because of this particular games battling mechanics, thats a disadvantage, rather than an advantage. So, at the very least, you need to replace those two pieces of equipment with something else that boosts only physical damage. But if you can replace all of her equipment with stuff that does the above, it would be even better. Heres a good guide that covers all of this stuff in better detail: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=45988&page=1.

1. both your party pets are Attack elements. Some of the elements have multiple things that they can be good at, but both fire and air are built solely to deal damage- they have no abilities that can buff them/debuff the enemy (except an attack boosting buff from the lv65 fire technique and, well, damage-dealing debuffs which do nothing to enemy stats)

(Shadow can heal itself, light heals all party pets, earth draws attacks to itself, heals itself, and shields itself, water boosts its defence and can shield/heal itself and other party members, and buff the whole party. Commonly the party setup is Tank/healer/attacker (tanks generally being any of those elements, though light is less common as one- usually they're Healer-, and they more focus towards agility and/or HP as their primary stat(s)) or Tank/buffer/attacker, or Tank/attacker/attacker

2. both pets have an unassigned proficiency point.

3. If you have access to Sanctuary of Saerielle, you should go and buy your third petslot from their plaza

4. Equips have been pretty much covered by above posters, but yeah, Air = Myrmidon (Str/Dex) equips and Fire = Evoker (Int/Dex) as a general rule. Tanks get attack/Agi equips (Illusionist = int, Assassin = str)
