200 years ago mermaids revealed their existence to humans, and this year, after many struggles for mermaids rights, the first mixed school has opened, for teaching both mermaids and humans. There was a lot of effort between making waterways and pools for every classroom, making things accessible for both mermaids and humans, but the school is finally open, and its opening for the first day.

The school is a boarding school build on top of water. Its a single story high school with a lot of thick aquarium glass for the hallways, pools in every classroom, and dorms for both humans and mermaids. All the water is sea water and its open to the outside to make sure it stays fresh (but theres plenty of filters for safety of the mer-students)

Bio: Shes very pretty, but high aggressive and competitive due to her betta nature. She gets angry very quickly and wont back down from a challenge, and is very prideful of her strength.

Appearance: Dark black skin, with shiny, straight black hair and bangs. She has deep brown eyes, and wears giant circular glasses (which she gets annoyed with easily). If she could stand, she'd be impressively tall. Her tail is a sandy brown with darker brown vertical stripes and triangular shark fins.
Bio: She was sent to the school because of her own ambition. Her family was very skeptical at first but she persuaded them to let her come with her statistical no-nonsense attitude. She has high hopes of paving the way for mermaids in the modern world.

They say a fat otto is a happy otto). He has clear fins with black stripes on his wrists and back of his tail, and a brown tail with a large black stripe on either side.
Bio: He's a bit of a nerd, and is fascinated by human anatomy, so he wants to learn more about them. He can be annoying and pushy in his quest for answers, but to him, that's how it's gotta be. He prefers to be alone, or with others who share the same mentality.

Bio: Manuel came to build relationships along language and genetic barriers. This year is his first big adventure away from home and comfort and he's prepared for anything that might throw in his way.

Bio: She's a country girl through and through. Her living situation wasn't the best, nor was her family or financial situation. She was removed from them and brought here while things are sorting themselves out at home. She doesn't like to talk about it either. But it's supposed to be her chance at making pleasant memories and becoming more responsible and independent.

He have a dark blue lign running along his spine from the base of his neck to the middle of his torso where his fins start, the rest of his torso, arms and face are a slightly off white, black eyes. From where his fins start to the tips of his tail his skin take the normal coloring of a manta ray.
Bio:
He is playfull, a bit childish and can be very competitive when it come to any type of games. When he first learned about this school he just had to go and see what he could learn from humans.

He is really short and doesnt talk much. He has fins coming out from his elbows and a dorsal fin sprouting from the middle of his back that doesnt affect any activities.

Bio: Dominick lives on his own like most sharks, so he decided to go to the new highschool to try to make friends. He doesn't have many friends because most people think that he will be agressive sense he is a shark, but like his shark counterpart he tries to stay out of fights. He is extremely fast and shy.
(There have been only 8 shortfin Mako shark attacks and none were fatal.)
