Hi all! Been on here a while but never thought about this before and wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this. I had a question on breeding pets with hidden traits- is there a rule to which trait would be hidden and which visible when breeding two pets with different visible traits, or is it a plain 50/50 shot?
So if I breed a female lup with visible feathered wings and a male lup with visible mechanical wings, is it just a 50/50 shot as to which is visible and which is hidden?
Thanks!
Answered, thanks yall! :)

no, 100% vis mech w/ feathered hidden. if both parents have no hiddens. the most dominant is NN, then it goes down the alphabet ( a is more dominant then b, ect )

Short answer: Closer to A is dominant. Closer to Z is recessive.
Longer answer: There's absolutely nothing random about it. To take your example, vis mech wings is BB and vis feathered wings is DD. Bred together, the offspring will always get BD, with mech wings vis and feathered wings hidden.
If the parents have hiddens, that gets a bit more complicated, since either trait could be passed down. As an example:
Parent 1 has G1 AD
Parent 2 has G2 BC
Offspring could get AB, AC, BD, or CD, depending on what RNG decides to do.
