When Im on my phone, for example doing a roleplay, when I try to use quotation marks they disappear. Its also the same with apostrophes, but it doesnt happen on my pc. Anyone know about this?

It happens to me too. Sylestia isn't built for mobile so I'm sure there's something going on there. (I use Safari on mobile)

I know apple did something that made apostrophes no longer work on here (much to my annoyance). I have not tried my android phone, so I do not know if it is all mobile devices or just apple ones.

I believe this happens on all mobile devices, not just Apple.
So, when you submit text into a database, you have to clean it or else people can do things like post...
DROP * ");
And then all of your database tables are deleted.
Part of said scrubbing is turning !@#$(*& into their ASCII codes... such as... ' becomes '.
Well, at some point since the forums were remade and now, some people have decided to start using new ASCII codes for things like " and ' - specifically I've noticed, it's Apple devices.
Well, the forums use a built in PHP scrubbing function that I guess probably hasn't been updated for whatever new shenanigans Apple and maybe others have started using. Thus - they're being scrubbed.
not sure what 90% of this means.. but it does say apple stuff does things to the code to make them go away

Hmm, okay. I thought the same thing happened to me on my old Android before I got an Apple phone but apparently my memory isn't working. Thanks for the correction!
