All I can do is buy them from other players. Is there another way?? Help!

Fight bosses in the festival zone.

Various items are found in different ways. The vast majority of items are found via fest events. Most are dropped by bosses in the fest zone but some are unique to the various minigames. The brewing minigame will, on rare occasion, give you an avatar item for using a brewing agent on another player's brew. The Trick or Treat minigame also has the possibility of giving you avatar items when opening handfuls of candy. Both of these games give items that were initially released in previous years with no new releases that I know of. The Haunted House gives new game-exclusive colored items as well as a new background. The Task List and the Festival Shop can both give you Retired Chests that hold items released in Fall Fests from previous years.

Items can also be found while exploring on the world map. Some are dropped by specific mobs, some can be bought from NPCs, some are dropped only by bosses, and some can be crafted in the Lost Grove.

The rest are a bit more rare. Some items can be bought in the diamond shop and are there year round. Some can only be won via forum games. Monthly items are avatar items that used to be released into the diamond shop on a monthly basis. This practice was discontinued years ago but you can still find them scattered around and CAN buy them from the diamond shop once a year. There's also a type of item known as Custom Items. These are monthly items that you could pay to recolor however you wanted. This is not done anymore and no new ones are being made. However, some people still sell their old ones.
