I am not totally sure where to put this but I figured this was a good a place as any.
My question is pretty simple, if two pets are carrying/showing genes in the same slot that are different is there a change to get a vis of either of them?
IE. a ryori with wings of illusion visable bred with a ryori with fox fire visable (both are in mut slot 2), is it possible to have a baby showing either traits?
Thanks ahead of time for answering my silly question. :c

There's only about a 15% chance that the baby will have both visible, and a 30% chance that it will have 1 visible. But there's almost a 50% chance of it carrying both.

I believe so, when messing around with the test breeding on the breeding generator I've gotten either genes or mutates to show
If they are pets you own I suggest playing with test breeding xD it can be fun and it shows up some good stuff
here's an example with one of my pairs both carrying beak mutations and showing both of them are possible on offspring
edit: fix image link

If two pets have the same or even different traits carried or visible in the same slot, they have a chance of having either trait visible in that slot. (depending on dominance of the traits.)
ig: M Lupora shows Hyena Markings (gene slot 1), while F Lupora carries Tribal Marking (also gene slot 1).
The two Lupora breed with a chance at showing Tribal Markings (because it is dominant), a chance of carrying Hyena Marking (because the father displays them), and a chance of carrying Tribal Markings (because the mother carries them and they are dominant to the Father's Hyena Markings). The offspring has 0 chance of losing a trait in that spot because the father has a visible trait there. As long as the same slot is filled for both parents, you have a chance of the offspring showing one of the traits.
The chances layout is like this:
Nothing + Nothing= Nothing
Visible +Visible=Visible
Carried + Carried= Visible, Carried or Nothing
Visible + Carried= Visible or Carried
Visible + Nothing= Carried
Carried + Nothing= Nothing or Carried

Glad to help! :)
Oh, also note(after re-reading your question, I think I understand more about what you meant): you cannot have an offspring with multiple visible traits in the same slot, however, you can have, up to, two carried in the same slot.
ig. You cannot have visible Wings of Illusion and visible Fox Fire; but you can have visible Wings of Illusion and carried Fox Fire. (You cannot have carried Wings of Illusion and carried Fox Fire, though.)

Thanks, I find this pretty helpful too. I don't have many same species pets with mutations on the same slot so I can't test them out in the breeding generator. :)
