I'm pretty sure its what measures how many times the family was bred within that same family. If two pets are to closely related the can't be bred together

I haven't seen any effects on some of my more inbred pets, so I assume there's no effect other than the breeding. There might be an effect I haven't noticed one though. Sorry if that doesn't help

There are no effects from inbreeding either positive or negative. The inbreeding percent was added as a curiosity item more than anything.

If pets are too closely related they won't breed.

Pets cannot mate with their parents, their children, or their siblings (half siblings included). Anyone else is fair game. The inbreeding % was added for lols and has no effect on the pet whatsoever.
