How do you know what to sell them for?
If they have mutations will it tell you if you don't genetic test them?

Usually, people would test their Sylesti by having them given to someone who does a genetic testing service or something like such. It shows what traits are carried and what traits are visible.
Visible will show and tell on the picture of the pet and on its description page, regardless of being tested. Being carried, however, will not. On an untested pet, it will most likely show up as 'unknown', and once tested, if there's a carried trait at all, it will be shown in italics.
That being said, Sylestis are usually sold based on the genes that are either visible (worth more) or carried, sometimes taking more precedence than their color. The more visible genes or carried traits, the more the pet's worth.
In the wild, the color of the stars of the Sylesti can correspond to the number of visible or carried traits as well (ie uncommon = 1 visible trait, rare = 2 or such).
