When do you get to have a third pet in your party? (what level)

It's not based on level, but story progression. The third slot should be available to purchase once you reach the second town (Sanctuary of Saerielle).

The story of the game. As you make choices and fight stuff and unlock new areas, you're progressing in the story.

No, PLEASE do. I have WAY too many pets in my hatchery! I don't want them all released! I've been trying to sell them but nobody's buying them. Feel free to take multiple!

I don't really have the space... I have multiple ongoing breeding projects. And anyways I typically only buy themed lups.
