I want to start collecting Sylestias but I need traps! Can someone either give me money or traps. And yes, I know asking/begging for stuff is frowned upon.

It isnt possible to give traps to people unless they are master traps which are worth 800k I think. COD me for 9k

Make sure to participate in missions. You can earn lots of gold that way.

Asking for things like gold or items is forbidden. It's in the terms and stuff.

But anyways: a tip: make usre you have the space/money for more pets. And...warning...most wild pets are really lousy. Like really lousy. Best to get from tehe wild if it's a themed (it'll say it's a themed, but you cna only find themeds in the Lost Grove and festival zones) or if it's a legendary/mythical. Or you're gonna start a project somehow. Advanced Search is better and easier if you want actualy nice pets that might give you sellable offspring later.

Gold is easy to get. Progress in tehe storyline, participate in fests (warning: do not pay gold for stuff in fests, same for dia), sell diamonds if ou can spare the real life cash, (2k per dia is quite good), missions, etc.

Traps are really easy during the big season fests. Don't trap everything you find, instead, wait until the seasonal fests and then once youre in the zone, just walk around and look for eggs or themed pets (which will have their theme name when yu battle them and say rare enemy in the dialog box) and you get 3 free traps a day for doing so.

Traps, with the exception of masters, are not tradeable. You'll have to buy them yourself. And begging isn't JUST frowned upon. It's against the rules. Please do not do it again. Once is a mistake. Twice gets you reported.
