I've battled him so many times, but I can only get him down to 23 if I'm lucky! What do I do???
(My party pets are Freya, Apollo, and Astrid.)
Astrid can't tank at all with him, Freya dies as soon as he starts attacking her, and Apollo can't heal any of them!

Hmmmm...
I'd say make a thread about your party pets. I use Muerto, shadow attuned. Donavan, air attuned. And Un-named, light attuned.

The two I most prefer are these:

Party 1
Shadow Tank/Fire Cannon/Light Healer (The links are clickable, so you can see how I distributed their proficiency points and what equipment I gave them.)
Phaeddon: Level 70 Shadow Tank

Acadian: Level 70 Fire Cannon

Lynaea: Level 70 Light Healer

Party 2
Shadow Tank/Air Cannon/Light Healer
Phaeddon

Ilira: Level 70 Air Cannon (Clickable link.)

Lynaea

While these are my preferences, you dont have to follow them exactly. This guide has other battle party examples as well, along with lots of other good information about this kind of stuff: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=45988

Since you only have two party slots ATM, Id say for the first example I gave, have a pet like the first one (a Shadow Tank) and another like the third one (a Light Healer). Just as a backup, if youre working on getting through Faerinas Shrine (You have to fight two or three enemies at a time there.), have a pet like the second one (a Fire Cannon). For the second example, have a pet like the second one (an Air Cannon) and a pet like the third one (a Light Healer). As a backup, have a Shadow Tank.

In terms of equipment for pets in my first example, use Illusionist gear, Evoker gear, or some combination of the two for the Shadow Tank. For the Light Healer, use the two above, Arcanist Gear, or some combination of the three. Use the same types above or a combination of them if you choose to have a Fire Cannon backup. For the Air Cannon in my second example, use Myrmidon gear, Assassin gear, Ravager gear, or some combination of those three.

Astrid:
Astrid seems to have all points in intelligence, but if she's to be your tank, perhaps reset both of them to health. Also, her equipment are for level 25 pets, consider going to the broker and buying some level 45 pets. Her relic boosts physical damage, but shadow does magical damage, not physical. Also, her relic boosts strength, but it will be more effective if it boosts intelligence. Her armor boosts dexterity, but it will be more effective if it boosts agility. Make sure that her equipment are epic or legendary; a level 5 legendary relic is better than a level 30 uncommon one.

Freya:
Freya seems fine to me, except for her equips. Her relic boosts physical damage, which is good, but it is level 25 and uncommon. And her armor and accessories all boost intelligence and dexterity, not strength and dexterity. Again, consider going to the broker and buying some higher level, epic or legendary armor.

Apollo:
Apollo has all his proficiency points in dexterity, but as a healer, they will be much more effective in intelligence. Same as above with his equipment, and they should boost intelligence and agility, not intelligence and dexterity.

I hope that helps!

Thank you!
Quick question: What type of gear would suit them best. Like, evoker and the other stuff.

For shadow - Illusionist
For air - assassin
For light - evoker

I'd go on the Trade Broker and find Rough Armor of the ______
