1. Depends on how much time/effort/investment you put into it. My qit project took since the end of Summer Fest last year and I slacked for 2 or 3 months. It's almost there now, just one more visible needed...

3. It's gonna take a lot of stable space and you may not earn much from it but it's a fun thing to do. Oh and keep track of you pets some way, it gets confusing fast. Go for more trait slots filled with even carrieds rather then visibles, it'll make the project go faster.

id recommend testing them, just find someone who's testing pet in the groups and guilds or I can do it for you too. That way you know if they have carrieds or not

But it should be fine
I'd recommend finding something with the third mutation and breeding that with another pet until you get the trait passed on and then work for the 6vis
