What is the economy like? For example, what would be a good min/max price for hatchlings, adolescents, and adults of a certain aesthetic? I don't want to under or overprice.

it realy depend on the pet, it's parents and it's lineage :

For a pb themmed you can use the advenced search for pets within the same value range, traits like leaf veins or lucky runes are usualy lowering the value of a themmed.

A project offspring value is generaly seen by looking at it's colorations, number of trait and potentialy it's stats.

For a rendomly breed offspring it's alot trickyer, muddy colorations (grayish or uncordonated) can lower it's value quite a bit, same things if the traits they have dosn't match it's overall coloration. in this case it's a case-by-case with the advenced search to found pets that are similar in price.

In all casses, restricted traits or rare/well liked traits (Cristaline essence on ny'vern, butterfly set on puffadore ...) can raise the value of the pet.

First off, thank you for asking before pricing!

To answer your question, it honestly depends on the specices, popularity, themed or not, how many traits there are, colors, and stats.

In most cases, checking the Advnaced Search is usually a good idea to check pricing as it can fluctuate but sometimes there's a lot of pets that are overpriced/underpriced.....You can always ask in thrid region chat or general chat or on the forums though!

Anyways, aquick rundown:
~If your pet is a wild caught pet with less then 2 visibles traits (equivalent to 4 carrid traits), it isn't themed, and it isn't from the Lost Grove, you should probably just release. Unless you're doing a breeding project and the pet has nice colors or traits you need for the projet. Otherwise, it might be worth less the 500 gold on average. Much better to release and get lost grove benefits

~If your pet is from the Lost Grove, good for you! Wild caught pets in the grove aren't worth too much, maybe 2-5k if youre lucky, but themed pets from the grove can go upwards of 100k or more, I've sold stuff for a hfty amount. Bonus if it's an aeri from this year's fest.

~If your pet is from a festival but not lost grove, it depends on how common it is, whether it has nice traits, what species/themed, how it can be obtained, etc. During the festival the pet can be found in (if it's released during that time or the year before), I can usually sell for around 30k for a normal themed (fableds for me uslaly end up much higher in prices). Again, AS is your best friend on this. If the pet is an older themed that can no longer be obtained during a fest (not counting Black Friday and related events), it may go for higher as well..

~If the pet is a 6vis or has a full set of restricted traits, price much higher (around 10k + is good, i'd say 25k + for restricted since that's what sells best for me). Also consider using a kit of infertality on the pet if it's your own project pet offspring, so people can't rip off your hard work. Note that color schemes are usuall yimportant for 6vis and for restricted trait sets there's usually a themed to go with it so those sell better generally.

Some species are more liked then others, and regenerable pets can go for a hefty price if they have traits that can be reshuffled :)

Hope this helps ><>

The lost grove, the magazine basiclaly. It's in the third region and if u release pets the chance of getting an egg nest in the grove increase slightly
