How are these two the same theme? I know you can dye themes, but don't those have a button that says something like 'this pet is eligible to have its colors updated'?
What happened to the dishwater-looking one?
is it sick?? xD it looks like it's been left in the sun for too long
I've noticed the same thing with the Arctic Nomad Vuls.

it's because of dyes
The one on the right (the purple/red/gold one) is the actual theme colours (you can check the restricted/majestic guide if you want to see the actual colourset of any maj/ theme)
The ability to revert pets to their original theme colour if dyed is a relatively new addition, and you can trigger it in pets like the one on the left by using a dye.
In lines that were dyed before the Revert option was added, the system can't recognise that decendants of that line are dyed- it goes by something like "does this pet have a dye symbol" and "is this pet bred from a pet with a dye symbol", so all the old dyed lines don't get recognised as being dyed because the dyed pets were generations and generations back.
I have to go so if you need more info just ping us
