You can post if you want! This thread is under construction.

"Decadent and decayed - the two words that best describe the Denizens of Hard Frost. They are notoriously condescending towards foreigners, and inherently corrupt and diseased. The residents of the palace enjoy the highest standard of life, if you can call it that. High ranking individuals are often decorated lavishly. The lower and middle classes are left in the harsh ice and dark to fend for themselves, and a heavy tax is imposed on them to fund the frivolity of the Highest Houses."
[Set One - The Highest Houses]
[Set Two - The Nobility]
[Set Three - The Palace Staff]
[Set Four - The Middle Class]
[Set Five - The Lowest Class]

This is where I hope to develop and design the Denizens of the Hard Frost, a culture that I accidentally invented and can't stop thinking about.
Listed below are the highest ranking individuals of their Houses, and a brief House description. For my other, not as frosty breeding projects, check here!

"The Highest Houses of the Denizens of the Hard Frost are the snootiest of the bunch. They never dirty themselves with life outside of the palace, thinking themselves to be blessed directly by the gods, and above such petty things as consorting with commoners. They rarely even acknowledge the existence of the palace staff, except to bark orders at them, and are known to take advantage of the lower Houses' weakness and their own authority."

"If the Highest Houses are snooty, the Ny'Vene house is downright unbearable. They readily abuse their position and, instead of ruling to better the lives of their citizens, seem to enjoy making things worse. The closest descendants of the Old Gods, these dragons hold the highest position - the throne. They only breed once in a lifetime. They are very heavily attuned to the strong, dark magic of the palace."

"The softest of the Highest Houses, House Puffadore does not even bother venturing out across the palace grounds. They prefer to remain in the safety of their towertop rooms, poshly decorated and the epitome of comfort. They serve an adviser role, and frequently visit the kitchens. They typically address the Highest House with sickly, false sweetness, but gossip avidly about everyone behind everyone's backs. Members of the Second House are fond of decorating themselves with sweet and frivolous things, and especially love trinkets with overwhelming perfumes.

"House Ryori is a ruthless, combat-oriented house. They are trained from birth to fight, and their skills rival those of anyone to be found, inside or outside of the kingdom. Courtesy of their warlike nature, and each of their young is fitted with a helmet and armor of their own upon mastering the principles of combat. There is one of the Third House in every settlement outside of the palace to enforce taxes and laws, making them the most commonly seen High House outside of the palace, and they openly delight in punishing lawbreakers. They are often sent to "take care" of enemies of the Highest House. It is common knowledge that without heir inherent loyalty to the throne, the Third House would have no trouble taking the crown."

"The Fourth House is the diplomatic House. They approach other kingdoms and promise hell if there is no cooperation. With their own natural maniplulation abilities factored in along with the Third House's formidable thirst for conquest and the Highest's House unwavering hold over said Third House, it is not hard to "convince" other monarchs to see their way."
