Hello, I have been looking to see if I can find if there is an information on tamed pets and their genes!

Are they random?
do common have no carried and no visible?
green starred have one carried and no visible?
blue have a guaranteed carried or visible?
I just want to know if there is anything at all out there that is worth capturing with the masterful snares that I bought for diamonds lol. It seems to be taking forever to get through the quest line to the areas where I can participate in the event for battling so I wont be getting anything good that way . . .

Common has no genes
Uncommon has 1 carried
Rare has either two carries or one visisble

and so on.

The genes are random, except that they can't be from a restricted trait set.

Id say keep your masterful sanres for a theme during a fest or something, the regular sylestis dont really give much benefit if youre just goign to resell the pet right after since they usualy aren't worth too much.

Just to complete the rarities list:

Epic (purple stars): 4c, 1v2c, or 2v
Legendary (orange/yellow stars): 6c, 2v2c, or 3v
Mythical (red stars): 2v4c, 3v2c, or 4v

These are all pretty rare encounters, though.

Legs and myths, in most zones, can ONLY be caught with master traps. Eventually you'll get to The Lost Grove, where it is possible to catch any rarity with any grove trap, but pets get progressively more strong with each rarity level and each failed trap (they can't run), so it's often easier to just master myths and legs anyways before they murder your face.

Also, during festivals, if you happen to encounter a wild themed neph - master it. Do not use any regular traps and risk it running, do not run away yourself, do not attack it, just master it immediately. Those things are insanely rare and coveted. Even if you don't want to keep it, it's basically guaranteed that someone will buy it for a high price (and generally a replacement master as well).

oooooooooooo this is GREAT info, though I doubt I will ever find any such creatures since ALL my friends tease me that I have the worst game luck of anybody they've ever met! lmao. It's not even funny how bad my luck is, I couldn't win if I was the only person playing so to speak! :)))

It's kind of a joke, but not a very funny one! I only bought the master snares because I couldn't even catch a common in the starter zone with the first ones you can buy and they are 1k gold each!!! Soooooooo, I did catch that little pink qitari with the fire mane, I just couldn't NOT! Perhaps someday I will find a good mate for him, or start a breeding project lol

Also, I'll note that as far as I've seen:
Viridian Meadows has common/uncommon/rare pets (only exception being the tutorial capture pet)

Umbra Forest has up to epic rarity

Astryl's Vale/ LG/ seasonal festival zones have all rarities


And yeah, sometimes you just come across Real Pretty common/ uncommon/ (unthemed) rare pets and space be damned, they're too pretty to just murder (but for the most part they aren't worth the price of the trap used to catch them, save the non-monetary worth they have to the person who caught them as "oo pretty")

He's the first one of my master snares I used :) I have seen a few rares now but nothing like him. He is just so, put together .... the rest are scattered BADLY for colors! Like some are just gawd awful lmao Anyway I will try to hold out for the epic and up! I am hoping I am getting near the END of the Umbra forest for questing now. Really really tired of the large groups of undead lol

I love the pink qit :) his colors work so well and I like fire mane.

Also, as said, best to save your masters for the higher rarities, because masters are hard to come by.

I wouldn't capture pets if you plan to sell them, because wild, non-themed pets don't tend to sell well, but if you plan to keep/release the pets once you caught them, capture away :D

For those pets with visible traits that are 'ugly' colors, well, you can dye the colors if you want, using lesser dyes bought in the scale shop, using scales which can be obtained through nurtuing, or greater dyes found in the diamond shop. But again, only capture if you plan to keep (unless it is mythical/legendary rarity, then ask in regional chat if anyone is interested) because again, few people tend to be interested in wild caught pets.

(I tend to be one of those who catches pets who I think are pretty and then will release them, because the only pretty pets I get are commons... I will also buy wild tamed pets that I think are pretty, such as the qit you showed, if he were for sale, I would probably buy him.)

I will try to save the other master snares for the leg/myth pets :) Most are just terrible color schemes anyway and at this point I want to sell any dyes or whatever for money (I am not getting any money at all from battles in explore). I am only getting the little bit of money from missions and quests right now so I'm pretty broke lol
