As a newbie, my first couple of fests I was extremely low on tokens 24/7. So, this is just a quick guide of how to gather up a large amount!




-Battle the Named-

The Named are essentially mini-bosses. Every single one is guaranteed to drop tokens. All their abilities are the same; once you've learned the attack patterns of one, you've learned the attack patterns of every named in every fest. They do generally low-damage attacks, along with two debuffs. Don't be worried about the poison debuff unless it deals over 10% of what your light pet can idly heal (if it does, have your life pet do more direct healing stuff on the afflicted pet). Stunned is the one you need to somewhat worry about.

Stunned causes your pet to be unable to do anything for a set amount of turns. With Named, this amount is always 2 turns. This can be lethal if your pet is low on health, especially if they're the light pet. There does not seem to be a way to avoid this attack, so what I've found works best is to use your pets' strongest abilities directly after your pet wakes up from stunned. This is especially the case for light pets. Make sure all your pets are the same level, and that you have at least one light pet, and you should be good.



-Open Every Chest-

Fairly self-explanatory. Open every chest, every festival themed item loot, and every flotsam in the water. Most chests have tokens in them, albeit not many. But, this will add up over time, especially once you find hidden places where one of the big chests (detailed dark brown chests with yellow highlights) are usually found. These big chests often give at least 40 tokens. And, like the smaller chests, this adds up quickly. Walk along all the walls of the fest zone and you'll eventually come upon areas where there's a wall, but the arrows say you can go inside the wall. This means you've found a hidden spot. The Fall Fest is especially generous with these hidden spots, from what I've found. Also keep watch for the Summer Fest, which has a full room of these chests.



-Help the Customizable Pets-

Every festival has an area where you can grow, build, or in some way create themed sylesties. If you go to another player and their sylesti has some kind of issue (it'll tell you what the problem is in 'condition'), it's always a good idea to use your items to help that still-being-made sylesti. The system is fairly reminiscent of nurturing. This will give you a range of 3-5 tokens, and, like everything else, this adds up quickly. As an extra benefit, getting it wrong won't prevent you from trying again, unlike in nurturing. On a related note, if you have items for the fest that give your own sylesties-in-making an upgrade (add a hidden, choose a specific trait, etc.) and you don't want them, sell them. This gives you tokens.



-Do the Special Event(s)-

All festivals have some kind of extra event where you can earn items by doing some kind of action. For example, in the Fall Festival, there is Maws of Madness. Simply checking the festival task log will tell you what the special extra is, and how you can earn extra rewards by doing certain things. All the special events give tokens.



-Get the Nurture and Battle Tasks-

Each festival has a task log. In the daily tasks, one of the few constants is to nurture 100 pets and to defeat 50 enemies. Both of these give 50 tokens, for a total of 100. Neither task is very difficult, and having an extra 100 tokens makes for a great boost along with all the other tokens that have been earned. Nurturing on its own will also occasionally give you a token, but this seems to be about 1 in 50, for a single token, hence this amount is negligible if you aren't nurturing much.



~All in all; ~

The theme of this whole guide is, essentially, "it'll add up fast." On its own, none of these things give many tokens. But, doing them all together repeatedly can give you about 600-700 tokens per day!
