How am I meant to beat the boss? I've tried attacking the minions first and leaving her for last, but I never even get to the end of the minions before I get beaten and my elixirs used up. I am using a Wind, Light and shadow pet all three are level 60 if that info helps

Thats where youre going wrong. Unlike most other bosses, who are easier to beat after youve done away with their minions, Vierna does not weaken. Instead, she gets stronger. As another player said in a different thread, the best strategy is to basically ignore her minions and focus all your attacks on her (and later, her Shade). Try that and see if it helps. If not, it could be what your pets have for equipment thats causing the issue, among other things. But try the above first, and see what happens.

yeah, with vierna, she gains 50 Int for every one of her summoned undead that dies (and her int starts off at a whopping 800)- in fact, if you pay note to the hp, she's trying to kill them off herself. The goal of the first round is to take her out as fast as possible, before too many of the minions die.

The second stage has its own strategy required, though, since Shade Vierna has a different pattern (every 5th? move from when she changes she steals your mana to hel herself so this fight often involves heavy use of finishing blow, see this post for more

Other things to check are
> don't take in a fire pet
> make sure your equips are up-to-date level and rarity-wise for your pets, and are the correct type
(at lv50-59, you'll want a full compliment of lv50 legendary/ lv50 mythical gear (lv50 epic and legendary gear can be obtained from lv50 mission satchels), at lv60, you can jump to using Lost Grove equips (the blue rarity/Exotic are about equal to lv60 legendary non-LG equips. purple rarity/Vinethorn outstrip lv60 legendary by a mile)
