First, you nead a minimum of 3 essences to start a project, you can use more but it is realy up to you and your budget.

Once you are ready to generate, use a 1 male for 2 females set up. Males dont have cooldown so you would be wasting essences to make too many, the more females the more egg are breed and the faster you get your first few generations started.

Afterward, just keep the breeding project going, remove all fails and no-longer-relevent breeders from your gen pool. You can be more lenient with females then males, for space raison keep 3 or 4 males at the time in your progect. Make sure to code your offspring in a way that would allow you to see carried and visible by glancing at their names, it help preventing runaway genes and mutations. ^-^

Asside from this, there isnt any miracle ways to make it go faster, nurrituring can help a bit and so are pies but everything else is rng base. Once you get a perfect offspring tho, you can use it to breed yourself a mate for them in 2 or 3 generations of time.
