Ami Ever was just a day to day traveling elven merchant. She kept up with her stock, made it from spot to spot in a timely manner, and while not all that happy she got on well enough with many a citizen. She was well known throughout the lands for carrying many odd objects, and for her ability to get even the rarest of 'accessory pets' on request. So of course, it was to her a rich old lord hired to captured and bring to him a hellhound. A hellhound who was very much in tune with the fire element. Now, Ami was very careful in the capture and detainment of this beast...but she did not factor in its ability to be able to use the flame from her simple candle, which lit up the payment books she held in her lap. Angry at this foolish elves audacity, the hellhound forced a roaring fire that spread quickly and did as it was meant to in as efficient a manner as Ami had gone about her everyday life. Now, burns evident, soot still clinging to her transparent skin and clothes burned to tatters, this once everyday elven merchant is forced to wander the path she never got to complete, the very beast who caused their demise dogging her every step as eternal punishment.

Halloween has always reminded me of witches, good witches and bad witches.
-Isabelle, The Evil Witch-
She wasn't always evil, once upon a time Isabelle was a very good witch. She found great joy in using her powers to heal those around her. However, she was born in a time where witchcraft was frowned upon and witch hunters were plenty. Witches where burned at the stake to remove their evil taint from the world. Not wanting to reject her powers and ability to help others, Isabelle decided to hide her powers behind herbs and concoctions to help heal those around her. She was very loved by her family and neighbors. Sadly there was one among them who didn't love Isabelle but instead held a deep hatred toward her.
Edna, Isabelle's younger sister, was jealous of all the love and attention Isabelle received and angry at her own lack of power. In their line, only the first born daughter is blessed every generation. Edna devised a scheme that brought the witch hunters down on Isabelle and she forced to flee her home. Betrayed and heart broken Isabelle lost her faith in humanity, she became bitter and angry and vowed revenge against the sister that would have watched her burn. She set a curse upon Edna, causing her to live a long and very lonely life without love. As for Isabelle, after calling upon the darker side of her nature she slowly began to change and her beauty faded. Now she haunts the hills and darkened paths, all the in between places, harming any and all who have the great misfortune to cross her path.

No one knows her name, she stays in the shadows until she sees a lost traveler and sends a small lanturn of fire to guide them. Everyone who meets her doesnt know who she really is or why she does what she does. The oddest part is shes only seen in the Fall Festival.
that was a short little "blurb" if you would all it that, about the characte I dressed up, basically she goes around the zone and helps lost travelers

Okay, I have a story that's been in the character design and vague plotting stages for years now, and this is an incredibly embellished version of one of the more main characters, Lucien Gandharva.
It's mainly going to be exploring the various dynamics between cultures, sexualities, religions, gender identities, so on and so forth, focusing in on the vague idea of a small branch of Christianity that believes God and the Devil were switched in the Bible. It'll definitely combat the ideas of anyone being "pure good" or "pure evil" and remind readers that the point of view from which a story is told changes the whole story's dynamic.
Lucien Gandharva is this story's rendition of Lucifer, who, in some versions, was one of God's favorite angels and the angel of music. He took a specific interest in Indian culture, including more popular aspects like henna tattoos, even having a henna-esque snake tattoo sleeve extending from his left shoulder to his fingertips.
If anyone on-site wants to tell me about their religion or culture, please do! Personal experiences are a lot more helpful and interesting than articles~

I call her, the Goddess of Fall Festivities.
All year long, from the end of the Fall Festival she gathers many items, nurtures many unique sylesties, and plans out the activities for the next Fall Festival. Come the night before Fall Fest, she goes to the mystical fields where the Festival takes place each year. There she casts many spells, sets up unique and fun events, and releases the special sylesties for the many adventurers who flock to the area once the festival starts. She then calls down the Ryoris, so that they may enter the area and be available for all those eager people. After all the preparations are said and done, she opens the way for the people of Sylestia to come and join in all the fun! Oh, and all those pumpkins you find with items in them while exploring the area, yes, she is responsible for those too! Where did you think she put all those items she spent all year gathering.

Vladimir Von Yarasa
(Vladimir is a Slavic name meaning Universal Ruler, Yarasa is Turkish for "bat." So basically... Ruler of Bats :D)
Once a simple human peasant known only as Vladimir from a distant land, now a risen ghoul who serves the Headless Horseman. In the early years he tried to resist the Horseman's dark commands, but as time passed on his sins became too much to bear. Vladi was driven mad by the horrible things he had done, and as he descended deeper into that madness he came to embrace his role as a force for evil.
Eventually he became a zealot for the Horseman's cause, and he strove to serve at his best. Where others would fail to do the Horseman's bidding, Vladimir would succeed, often exceeding the Horseman's expectations. These actions didn't go unnoticed, and once Vladimir rose through the ranks he was rewarded with a powerful gift: dominion over bats. It was then that Vladimir was called, "Von Yarasa," a name given to him by the people he and the Horseman preyed upon. This, too, Vladimir embraced, and he kept the name forever more, always using his bats to serve in his schemes.
Now, as the Headless Horseman's second-most faithful servant (second, of course, only to the Horseman's steed) he is trusted with tasks of the highest priority, most notably so, to gather the souls of the innocent in order to raise the dead.
Vladimir completes this task by various means, first finding potential subjects and then putting their virtue to some type of test. He may pretend to be lost, or to have lost something important, or feign illness or an injury. Other times he may come up with something more creative, with elaborate schemes promising entertainment and fun times for whoever would follow him. Delightful music played to lead victims to their doom, enchanting stories told while awaiting the chance to strike, or the promise of adventure the likes of which have never been seen! Those with chivalry and kindness enough to aid him, or those innocent and naive enough to fall for his ploys, are always deemed worthy.
Be wary as you walk the festival grounds; someone may be watching. ;)

The Blood Faun
Deep, in the darkest part of the woods,
Far, far away from all that is good,
A faun of unusual color has stayed,
For many years, in his hideaway.
His fur black as night,
And his skin ghostly white,
With eyes of the brightest red.
He speaks with the dead,
Or so it is said
Of that strange and unusual faun.
He creeps out at night
To give you a fright
Or maybe to just say hello,
Though the second I doubt
For when we sent him out
His spots and horns were white.
Velyanthe
The essence of duality: Light and dark, fire and ice, night and day (the sun color on the moon crown), and life and death (the crow).
Those who embrace the essentialism of duality live apart from typical society, preferring to live in tiny communities closer to nature. They are usually spellcasters, learning magics that balance each other, magics to speak with the earth, and magics to summon spirits from other realms.
Some depart from these societies to live with the rest of the world. Some take what they have learned and use it for their own gain, taking from the forest or using destructive, unbalanced powers. The cruel ones never tend to get very far in their endeavors--the land takes hold of them so that the sun or frost may destroy them as the crows condemn them.
