I feel you. You know I've been working on a 6-vis 'Vorpa project for the last few months...it's kinda all mucked up now. And it looks like I'll have to reassign the traits of over 200 'Vorpas in my stables and hatchery when the change goes live. I'm totally happy for the new art, traits, and reorganization, but... I feel like everything I've done since October is basically lost.
/sigh
Time to re-learn how all the traits are organized and start my attempt fresh, I guess. Daunting.
Yes and no.
Yes in that those specific trait combos may be lost.
But no in that you will now have 6 vis of whatever you think are the best looking new trait combos without having to spend months breeding them. =)

I guess I hadn't thought of it in terms of time saved. That's a much different perspective. =) Still, I have so many of those little critters, the task of reorganizing/reassigning every single one is sorta mind-blowing! Of course it'll take a little getting used to, but I'm still looking forward to it.
I wonder, does this revamp of the Sylvorpas change anything about the "muddy/washed out colors" thing that I've heard about/seen during breeding?
Um, I don't want to sound like I'm whining--I really don't--and I like the Sylvorpa redraw. But if I'm understanding you correctly, my project to breed Sylvorpas with Vis Sharp Webbing, Angler Lights, and Lionfish Spines--
--has basically become hopeless?
Is...this......true?
(You may be about to see a grownup break down and cry.)
If this happens to the Zolnixis a 16 year old boy may do the same...
If it does happen then my sis has got of work to do... she had 60... 70... More... Zolnixis
Hopefully the Zolnixis will turn out like the Qitari, new traits and look and only things have been moved around ;)
Edit: Missed off; in a way that doesn't affect projects or mean that you have to re-allocate traits

As much as I love the revamp, this is completely killing my stock of them. So many of my favourite traits have been lumped into gene 1, many of them leaving me scratching my head. I think things like Water Tiger need to be on top of other genes to look right. I'm kinda lost for what to do about all my vorps..
One question though, not sure if it's been asked, what will happen with Visible genes that are carrying a hidden trait? like you know on the search function you see (AA) or (AC), the latter in purple carrying some other trait... will all those be lost? I know some people breed towards 12 GPs, what will happen with that?

OK, so that's where the dyes come into play.
I have a question though. Since henna now takes up two slots how am I gonna keep the dragonfly wings and rippling runes for my Vorpa? I can get rid of the rippling runes and use that to give Sylvia henna on her face and body and stuff, but only having four points to allocate means I essentially wouldn't be able to keep the wings as a carry, which I really want to do.
Themed Pets will not be getting a free color change. Down the road, we do plan on going back through all of our Themed Pets and adjusting their colors post-revamp so that they can have more matching official colors.
How would an official change on themed pet colors effect purebred offspring? I breed themes to 6-vis, so the thought of the tagged colors changing is a troubling one for my numerous projects. There would be no way to breed the offspring to the taggeds without getting a mixed-colored result (which would ruin the whole project), and that would also make it impossible to add new traits to the taggeds to add to the project without ruining the colorschemes as well. Unless purebreds are updated with the colors as well, I would either have to make do with what offspring I've already bred, or I'd have to start over from scratch.
Not to mention for a project that's completed it'd be weird to say "This is a 100% purebred 6-vis _____" when the colors no longer line up with the Tagged pets themselves. o_O;

@Dasassy,
I will try to allow Visible Carries to be selected on the re-generation tool.
@Jaderain,
That's really something for you to decide. You will just have to figure out how to allocate the points with whatever combination makes you satisfied. A lot of traits were moved, but they were also redesigned to fit their new home. Also, most genes were greatly improved detail-wise. So genes you may not have liked before now may be much more appealing to you.
@Xavion,
Haven't really gotten there yet lol. At this point, it's just a "plan". Both changing them or leaving them have positives and negatives. We will just have to think about it and figure out what we can do that will work best.

*looks wary* .........
Now I'm not as excited. Since I doubt you made it so that the traits that were in two different slots only cost 1 to make visible I'm screwed. Ill have to make her carry henna if I want to keep it in her gene pool at all. I'm essentially voluntold to look through the traits and stuffs to see what there is. Not necessarily a bad thing but rawr. *pouts* I guess its a good thing I'm curious huh?
Either way it should be interesting to see once its been implemented. How much more do you have to do before its put in game?
