I did not think I got him into it to be honest, and I had to go back and look really careful, and I also knew he was there :D Thus the second closeup because it was too cute not to let people see ^.^

1. Find something that is red.
Check out these awesome... er... bush? things?

2. Find a yellow flower.
It's a bit cool here still even for dandelions, but I finally found this little trooper!

3. Find an animal nest (so a bird nest or squirrel nest etc).

4. Find an ant hill.

5. Find something hairy.
Perspective makes it look like it's a tree, but it's just a stalk of some kind of furry whateverness.

6. Find something that is translucent.
Thanks, Mr./Ms. Litterer!

7. Find a flowering tree.

8. Find a plant starting to grow.

9. Find a mammal.
My scavenger hunt partner, who got into some mischief and had to wash off.

10. Find something bumpy.

11. Find something smooth.
Smooth tiles amidst the roughage.

12. Find something that has 3 different colors on it.
Thanks again, Mr./Ms. Litterer!

13. Find something that flies.
Sorry for the awfulness of this picture. (There's a robin on the grass.)

14. Find something that is edible.
...And for the awfulness of this one. (Mmm, goose?)

15. Find something that is litter (and throw it away!).
Gosh, Mr./Ms. Litterer, you sure are helpful. (But you still suck.)

16. Find a rock that you think looks interesting.
BEEG.

17. Find something taller than you.

18. Find a feather.
Despite the geese and ducks, I didn't find one. Now, if you're looking for bird poop, I'm your girl.

19. Find some animal tracks.
Do wet paw prints count?

20. Find an insect (don't kill it :) ).
Also a no-go. Some little gnats and microscopic nonsense were around, but nothing very photographable.

This was actually super fun! Thanks for the activity!

I took some pictures over a few days, hence the different signs and dates. Some of them were taken while hiking at a local hiking park thing full of waterfalls (It's literally called Bushkill Falls: The Niagra of Pennsylvania, which is a bit much, but whatever. It's nice there.) and some of them were taken around my house and along my road. I did find some of the things on the list but I didn't photograph them because they were on my neighbors' properties, and I didn't want to be that creepy person taking pictures of their houses and yards without asking first (And there was no way I was going to go knocking on doors asking to take pictures.)

1. Find something that is red. One of the Red Trail markers at the hiking park. (The Red Trail is the longest and most time consuming trail that goes to all of the separate falls, but I'd say the Yellow Trail is harder even though it's shorter simply because it's a lot more up and down, which tires a person out more quickly.)

2. Find a yellow flower. Found this little dandelion down in the roadside drainage ditch thing by our driveway trying to bloom.

3. Find an animal nest (so a bird nest or squirrel nest etc). Not entirely sure what kind of a nest it is, but there's this big old nest at the top of a 30/40 foot tree between my yard and my neighbor's yard. It's that big blob of stuff in the tree right above the 'gr' part of my sign.

4. Find an ant hill. My little brother, who was helping me with this project, insists that this in an ant hill.

5. Find something hairy. This is some plant that is rather like a variety of skunk cabbage that grows everywhere in the woods around here. Not sure if the picture conveys this very well, but the leaves are thick and very, very fuzzy!

6. Find something that is translucent. This is some of the water that runs through the drainage ditch thing that runs next to the road. It's usually clear, but sometimes in the summer it gets that rainbow sheen on it like there's oil or something in the water.

7. Find a flowering tree. Saw a few in my neighbors' yards, but I didn't want to be that creeper pointing a camera at their houses or anything.

8. Find a plant starting to grow. While we were hiking along the side of the path we found this teeny tiny plant trying to grow. Not sure how well that'll work out for it, considering where it is...

9. Find a mammal. So this was originally supposed to be a picture of my neighbor's cat, who was too shy for me to get much closer than the driveway, so I had to zoom in a lot. My camera decided to focus on the sign instead of the cat, so you can only really see my neighbor, and not his cat. I had his permission to take his picture, though, so it's not like I was being a creepy stalker or anything.

10. Find something bumpy. Originally this was one of the attempts of showing something taller than me, but I got a better shot for that, so this became something bumpy: The tree bark.

11. Find something smooth. Not much natural around here is smooth. Most stuff is roughly textured.

12. Find something that has 3 different colors on it. Harder to find something natural with 3 colors than I thought. Could have taken a pic of a billboard or something, but that seems like cheating.

13. Find something that flies. Tried to get a picture of the massive woodpecker that keeps visiting our suet feeder, but it flies off too quickly.

14. Find something that is edible. Heck if I know what's wild and edible around here.

15. Find something that is litter (and throw it away!). This was an empty plastic water gallon jug we found in our backyard. Either my brother left it outside, or it blew over from someone's yard. Either option is equally likely.

16. Find a rock that you think looks interesting. I thought it was cool how distinct the difference of colors is on this rock.

17. Find something taller than you. Almost undoubtedly the easiest to find, since I live in the middle of the woods surrounded by 30+ foot trees. Taken at the hiking park, and I have no idea what my hair was doing at the time...

18. Find a feather. Despite all the birds around here, not a single molted feather to be found.

19. Find some animal tracks. Tried to get a shot of some tracks my dogs had left on the road after walking through some water, but they were totally messy and indistinguishable. They looked more like I'd just splashed some water on the road.

20. Find an insect (don't kill it :) ). Found an already-dead moth by the window in the picnic area at the hiking park. I sure as heck was not going to try and get close enough to a live insect big enough to take a distinguishable picture of.

I'm wondering if single photos can count for multiple categories?
Also realising that it says that the paper with the username and number have to be part of the photo.

I just took some photos of the possums that live in the shed cupboard, who could fill "3. Find an animal nest", "5. Find something hairy", "9. Find a mammal", and "14. Find something that is edible" (14 both because technically you could eat a possum but also because I gave the mother of the pair some pear slices as compensation for interrupting their time), but taking photos of them is hard because it's really DARK in the shed, so we basically need flash, which would seriously over-expose any white paper?
