I tend to agree with you on the colors, Frawn. The fourth one is the most like a real mantis shrimp. However, I'm not sure which Mutation One trait looks the most mantis shrimpy; as above, or--

OoOoOoh...as much as I like Mystic Fins, I think I prefer the one with Bio-luminescent Spines best, with the Sharp Webbing as a very close runner-up. The fins take away from that awesome rainbow effect in the tail, and I like the way the spines really bring that lavender/pink out to POP! ^.^

Point taken about the Mystic Fins. Now if I can only figure out a way to make those Angler Lights yellow...

I really love the changes you've made, SpaceElf. The small off-blue/aqua shade change was really lovely.

Welcome to the group, MythraRed! :) I shall have to check out your Vorpas.
I love the everything about your Mystical Rebirth Sylvorpas, except the Bio-luminescent Wings (which is just down to my own weirdness with that mutation). I especially love the colours you've picked, it works so well with the Luminous Gecko.

I love your MS Vorpas, SpaceElf. I especially love the first and third designs.
I made this at the time, but I couldn't get the colours right and scrapped it:
I much prefer your colour choices. Though I'm not sold on the pink eyes on the last design, it starts too look like too much colour, perhaps.

I made the eyes pink because a real peacock mantis shrimp has pale pink eyes, Celewen--
I used a deeper pink to make them easier to see.
However, I might try your blue, just to see if it contributes to the overall mantis-shrimp-ness of the Vorpa. The design doesn't have to have exact peacock mantis shrimp colors, after all; it just has to give a strong impression of "peacock mantis shrimp."
But thanx for the comment. Any thoughts on how I can get pale yellow Angler Lights without messing up the rest of the design?
