this ryori is based off of halloween, jackolanterns, and the black/orange color scheme associated with them.
this ryori is also based off of my hatred for fall. its cold and the sun sets too early and it isnt even snowing. trees have the right idea with the whole hibernating thing.

~The Hallowed Glade Ryori~
Fall is chilly, and the moonlight shines brightly as it rises earlier and earlier each night, illuminating the warm-colored leaves of the forests below.
This Ryori represents these aspects of the forest at night in the fall, with the color-changing leaves, and the mix of chill and warmth that comes with the season.
I present the Hallowed Glade Ryori.

Strangely, I was looking through images of fall sunsets when the colors of Samhain came to my mind. I toyed with the traits and found I liked these best. I felt they captured the spirit of fall and a little bit of the Ryori best.
This was the image that brought to mind the colors of Samhain.

Black Rose Ryori
My inspiration was the Black Rose.
The Turkish Halfeti Roses are incredibly rare and are an endangered species.
These roses so black, youd think someone spray-painted them. But thats actually their natural color.
As in the 19th century, the language of flowers became popular, the black rose signify death, or hatred,
but they can also mean farewell, rejuvenation or rebirth, or the start of a drastic change. It can also mean overcome something or to return from a journey which someone did not expect to return.
So, this Ryori for me signifys the soon upcoming season of winter and the long await for spring^^

For this, I was inspired by the portrayal of forests after the trees have lost all their leaves. At night, you often see bare trees portrayed with a bluish tint, which heavily inspired several aspects of this design. The galaxy represents the stars that are easily visible in forests after the leaves have fallen, while the lucky runes represents the grayish color of the tree trunks. The jewels represent the color of the night sky, clearly visible above the trees. In a way, they also symbolize the leaves- the way they hang off the design is similar to leaves on a tree, but with a strange unearthly feel due to the color, like fall forests are often depicted with.

The Reclaiming Seas Ryori:
When a sailor dies, one of these strangely beautiful creatures appears, adding the fallen's soul to their collection until they have enough to send them all home. When a living person sees one, and they are able to see the tiny golden flecks that are the souls the Ryori have gathered, it is considered good luck, and means the person will be taken care of by these Ryori for sure.

Fall for me means a splash of colours, harsh winds and ofcourse my favourite festival of the year:Hallowe'en!
But it also means the death of most soft leaves and a lot of plants in order to sow and make room for new life in spring. The skeletal armor symbolizes that as well as hallowe'en. The harsh but still warm winds (I'n Dutch and here there's a lot of wind!) are represented by the star runes, the falling leaves by the rose markings. Hope that's a good inspiration-explanation?

Maple Leaves Ryori
My inspiration is my Maple tree. Every fall its leaves turn a beautiful red-ish orange color and when the wind picks up, the leaves start to blow in little eddies in the street^^(eddies are like little invisible, mostly weak, tornados) I always love going out with my camera and taking pictures! i added yellow because when the leaves start to die, some will start to get yellow patches before falling off the branch, which looks awesome!
