SpaceElf: Oh! I really like the calico with the deep sea runes. Hmmmm... Plus, I'm already planning on giving some of my SC offspring seahorse so that might end up being the best of both worlds.

Mohya: I really wanted to get the Deviant Deluge, but I didn't have the diamonds for it. Hopefully I'll be able to get an offspring at some point in time

To all: I finally got brave enough to regen a couple of my kelp (I keep fiddling with the colors!)

They are based off of an Aurleon project I did that was designed by Bleubird. They look quite nice as Kelps. :-)

I really liked Faded Spots, but I do not care for Frog Spots at all. Not to diss any artists who worked on it, but to me Frog Spots looks like symptoms of an illness.

Mohya, I think your Tranquil Waters colt with the Calico/Glowing Runes is beautiful! By a series of coincidences, I acquired this Deviant Deluge fellow--

"Milli1on"

His name is pronounced "one in a million." I quite like his Leopard Seal trait, but the Glowing Runes don't look very nice with this Theme, IMO. Also, I think the Tranquil Waters Theme looks better than Deviant Deluge does, in general, because TW is less monochrome.

Edit: And I have swapped Milli1on to LDDarcWolf for this filly--

"QQQQQQQQQQ"

Her name is pronounced "thank you" ("ten Q") because I really appreciate the trade.

Here's how she'll look as an adult--

I think Milli1on is looking good. I didn't like the Deviant Deluge at first, but the more Kelparis I see of that theme, the more I like it. The transparent black fins transport some sort of goth vibe, when you think about it.

Faeyla, your regens look great. The traits work great with those colors.

Here's my SC boy, Midnight, with luminous fins

And my girl, Elvira, with deep sea runes

I also gave my plum pudding girl nebula (poor dear is still nameless)

I don't really like the kelp armor, but at least she's carrying pearl armor which looks nice. Of course what I really want is ornate armor.

Anyhoo, if anyone wants to breed with the girls, just let me know and I'll set them up. Midnight is already set up for public breeding.

@Faeyla:
I don't typically like Kelp Armor either, I prefer Pearl or Nightmare Spikes, but I found this girl and when I took a look at what she'd be as an adult, well...

Somehow... it works for her. XD

@everyone:
And I told myself I wouldn't buy any more pets period until I save up for another stable tab but she and this two guys kinda blew me away...

I'm loving his iridescence...

I don't usually like Calico on the fins... or pink...

Sadly, only one of my Kelpies are named currently... I have a hard time naming any of my pets period, actually, except for a very few, mostly my Dragon's Wake Qits, which are all fire, etc. inspired names.

@Draki

I love the green and gold kelpari. He's really gorgeous! And I agree about the kelp armor on the female kelpari. Though I'm normally not as fond of it, it looks really great on her. I saw a project that someone is working on that I also really love kelp armor on. But for me I think I also like ornate armor best (trying to start breeding that in) followed by pearl armor.

And I know your pain regarding naming pets. I'm really terrible at it. I really wish I could come up with some really good names for my non-themed regenned kelparies.

--------------------------

@everyone

I realized that I accidentally bred a couple budding kelparies from different years so I decided I'd just regen the baby into something different. But I started liking some of his colors he had as I just started changing things so he ended up not that different looking. Oops! But I'll just keep him with my non-themed and not set up for breeding.

Here's another one I regenned recently.

I keep thinking about maybe eventually running a contest of some sort for helping me name pets. But I'm not sure what I'd do for prizes and I'm also really picky about names. So I don't know if I could really get a contest to work out for everyone. It makes me wish there was a naming help thread that could stay active.

Draki: I agree, kelp armor looks great on her. It's definitely a trait that needs very specific colors to work right. Most of the time I just find it too noisy. I also love your green and gold boy. He reminds me of a Roman legionnaire for some reason. He just needs the hat.

Savynn: I like how your green tiger boy turned out. I know what you mean about names. I end up doing a lot of googling to get ideas. Right now I'm trying to redesign two kelps to fit their names with mixed results. I'm sure I'll get something eventually, but it is challenging.

To all: How is everyone doing with regenning kelps? All of my designs seemed to always end up 3vis, so I decided to challenge myself and make a 6vis. It took awhile, but I actually really like this design.

I love that design! If you sell any offspring I'd be interested in a female.

I've been having a hard time with designing lately. I think I just need to wait until I'm in a creative mindset again. Right now I've started working much more on organization and releasing a bunch of older non-themed pets.

There's a couple designs I've been struggling with. What I have so far. It was supposed to be a multi-vis "scary" kelpari, but I just can't seem to do scary right now.

Neither of these feel right to me but not quite sure what to do with them. Maybe the second design would work better with newer traits instead of something to use on a regenned kelpari. Maybe that's the problem with the first design, too?

I've done all my point regens except for one girl... who I am not gonna mess with until I have a really specific project or whatever in mind because I tend to keep going for the same traits. XD
I still have some color regens to do, but I'm really pleased with what I've got so far...

This guy is one of my favorites, he's really dramatic-looking and between him and his coordinating mate (also a 4vi, 1 carry), will have 5vis offspring, adding Glowing Runes, also later I'd like to add a Luminous Fins Kelpie to the bunch and end up with 6vi project.

This girl is the one above's half-sister, though you wouldn't know it post-regen. They both had Kelp originally but I switched it to Nightmare Spikes.

Now this guy is special, despite being only a 2vis, because he happens to be my only named Kelpari. His name is Roulet as in the masculine version of 'Roulette', as in Russian Roulette. The red and grey and the spikes were heavy inspiration.

I actually left this girl completely untouched when I regenned her.

This guy has not been regenned yet, but he's a purebred Blue Hydrangea that I got by accident because he was cheap. XD

Thought this guy was a Patriotic Kelpie, turned out to be wrong, however I still like how he turned out. He looks like a punk.

These two are gonna be a Frog Spots breeding pair, I suppose. I dunno, they're just adorable. XD

This guy I tweaked to be all black. No vis, but he's gorgeous.

That's what I've done so far... plus some other color regens that weren't as interesting. XD
