Wow, thanx, everyone!

What surprises me the most about Far Out is that she is a girl. As I was working closer to 6-Vis, I noticed that the male offspring were much more likely to have Visible traits than the females were. I currently have four 5-Vis-1-Carried Anthias Lunes, and three of them are male.

I also expected that my only breedable pair of 5-Vis-1-Carried (FlashingBlinkyLights and UnDark) would produce the 6-Vis. Every offspring had a 25% chance of being 6-Vis. Lo and behold, Far Out is the daughter of a different 5/1 male (Ar Hg Plasma, who is FlashingBlinkyLights's half-brother) and a 4/2 female, OrcoGlo.

Basically, ya never know!

And Tigergirl, I hope you take this the right way, but . . . you have such a cast-iron reputation as a Sylesti breeder, it is a source of pride to realize I actually beat you at getting* the first 6-Vis Anthias!




*Yes, I know the Anthias were just a side project for you. Let me enjoy my moment, 'kay?

So this announcement is a little late. (ok. Maybe a lot late). But I was waiting for name inspiration to strike me.

I received many lunemara gifts, and one of these was a 6 vis PB Will-o-wisp!!

Tigergirl, I had no idea Gene Three Grub looked so fandamntastic with Avatar Wings! Here I had been avoiding Avatar Wings all this time.

Amarok, Far Our is young, but to date her personality seems mellow: friendly but not pushy. It might work out. Certainly the possibilities are intriguing--

"GlitterDaze" and "GloFX"

They are full siblings, offspring of the 5V-1C pair whom I had expected to produce the first 6-Vis, and, until they become teens, are identical. At maturity, GlitterDaze will have Vis Gene Three Faded Glowlight, while Glo will have Vis Floral.

LOL! I still find it hard to believe that I have a reputation. I just sit in my little corner of sylestia and breed things I think are pretty. Great job! I really like the grub genes all the way around, so they tend to pop up in my lune breeding A LOT! :D
