for most of the lunes i like the current themed better but there are 3 i think the new version would be an improvement:
1. Halloween
2. Festive
3. Ghostly Lights

I want to further cover ladybug wings because I know some people don't like that the pattern goes on the Elytra (or domed shell part) of the mutation.
Right now, the ladybug wings have spots just random anywhere, like the ladybug gene. These both should be changing, as admin have expressed willingness to address lack of symmetry. Now, ladybug wings don't need that many spots all over them. They can have just a few, as many species do. I feel this should be addressed -before- decisions about whether or not to move the genes are taken into factor. If done well, there could be plenty more space for the genes to show under the spots. I'd personally rather they not become even more cluttered by having the genes moved to the actual wing of the ladybug.
And yes, I do miss them having a more proper domed shape. I see others mentioning this now as well. I hadn't put it out there as I just have so much i've been upset about but yeah..
I feel Squeak really nailed some of the things that bug me about this revamp. They really did end up looking far too humanoid, and the art style doesn't seem like Sylestia, as well. The shading, the way some of these wings are drawn, the cartoony anthro look to them (those noses still smelling of Dr Suess). There is a lot going on in this revamp I really hope to never see happen on Sylestia again.
I hope this can still be a learning experience to spare more popular species, because I really hate to think what would happen if say the Nephini or the Lupora were done is such a dis-matched, humanified, and unfitting to the rest of the site style as this. I think all hell would break loose compared to what us fans of a less popular species are being saddled with as sort of "You just have to settle, because no one else cared about this species enough for it to matter." If there is a silver lining to take away from this, I hope that will be it. That fans of a species in the future will have their opinions respected more, even if their species isn't popular enough to have the numbers to raise as much fuss as if people had been unhappy with say the Nixi revamp would have. That when a feature such as these noses is universally disliked (Go search Nose in the second sketch thread if you don't believe me), it won't be 'too bad, deal with it'.

Hey all. :) Seems everyone's tossing their 2cents worth so thought I'd add mine.
To start. I LOVE the new look. I think overall it gives a LOT more "Expression" and "Life" to the lunes and they really needed it. The faceted eyes was perfect. Awesome job for that. The nose is fine. I wasn't a big fan of it but it does work. I'm not super excited over it but I'm not against it either.
I keep reading that the Symmetry is off. Well if you look at the angle of the bodies they are poised to face slightly in one direction or the other so this also changes the angle of the wings and changes the symmetry of the Lune.
Antenna= the start up antenna is perfect the extra ones..not so much. There are only three that I like that being Branch, Forest Spirit, and Fairy. As someone mention before, the other are rather sparse.
G1 Genes look pretty solid except for glowlight. It blends in so much as to be nearly invisible.
Floral Garland I think is awesome. The "scarf" from before looked to me like something just to fill the gene slot without much thought to it. It was "just" there. The new garland brings a whole new level to the trait that I feel can be much better used then the previous one. In general I love the M2 Gene's whoever did the design for the Forest Spirit arms CODO'S to you. Great job!
M3 lots of mixed thoughts here. Gem wings <gasp> sorry NOT a fan. Should be named Shard wings. To me gem wings would be wings with gem insets.
Branch wings. I really like both so had a couple of idea's. The easiest one would probably be to make "Spring Branch", "Summer Branch", Winter Branch", and "Fall Branch". Have each of them simular but representing the season that its named for. So Fall branch would be like the old one, Spring would be the new one, Summer could be just full of green leaves and winter would be bare but for like icecicles. The other option I don't know if our server could handle it or how much in programming it would take, but just have the gene itself change with the seasons. Dragcave has a couple of things that do that. There are a couple of dragons that look different depending on the time of day or the season.
Also as someone mentioned they don't reflect any of the wing pattern genes. And I know that would be a challenge but just as an example if they had Valentine lace you could put swirls across the branches and flowers and the "dropping" leaves could be hearts
Fairy wings. Great job love the latern.
Ladybug wings. Okay as far as I'm concerned they new and the old are both pretty much the same. Yes there are differences but for me not much. That having been said I do feel that Ladybug wings are being represented incorrectly. Ladybugs have BIG, ROUND, wings and they are symmetrical. If you have a spot on one wing you generally have a matching spot on the other of the same shape and size.
Mantas wings. AWESOME! Great look! Really shows off wing patterns.
Cosmic Moth wings. I love the concept a lot as well as the design with one exception. The ends of the wings. It looks like someone took a pole and shoved it into the wing and added a tassel. The whole wing as a whole looks very fluid and smooth "soft" if you will. Till you get to the ends of the wings. Instead of a pointed end make it a lobe <including that bottom wings> Would make the whole concept "blend" together better.
Forest sprit wings. OMG great! I love this look but again with one slight thing. The ends of the bottom wings looks like a scorpian stinger, should be smoothed out, get rid of the "bump" on the end and make the very end less pointed.
The body, yeah well that could use some changing. Less plump or "bulb" looking and that thing on the end. Yeah no get rid of that.
So those are my thoughts I think overall the revamp went very well and the Lunes are much better for it.
Thanks for all the hard work and the artists are amazing!

Lunemara revamp feedback:
Bald. Head. Again.
Same mistake as with the Sylvorpa's Leafy Seadragon Head Fins (and I have never personally heard a single positive mention regarding those), the Lunemara head is left bare with a sharp edge that screams baldness. The cheeks are so fluffy and nice, what happened to the rest of the head? I know I'm not the first to point it out, but it's not a nice feature, so it would be nice if it could be re-evaluated.
There are nice changes as well, I like the new Fairy Wings even though I miss the old ones too. I see people disliking the new Avatar Wings, I didn't like the old ones, so the new ones are a positive change for me. Floral Garland is very cute(although bugged for females, see further down), and I'm glad to see that finally G2 actually has options now. Several of the redesigned G3 traits are pretty, and the new default antennae are really sweet! Though this brings me to another point - most of the new antennae mutations seem inferior to the default ones. And some of them sadly enhance the "bald head" problem. A very unfortunate combination of issues, which is a bit frustrating. It could perhaps be fixed by enlarging the existing M1 traits, and/or adding some sort of fluff to the currently very sharply nude head.
Others have also mentioned the body shape being off. Personally I find it to be a little too wide, and has a cartoony genie or ghost finish at the bottom which looks sort of odd. But perhaps worse, this part of the moth also lacks the fuzzy/fluffy look - except if you have Firefly M2, then suddenly the edge of the belly becomes furry. This is just confusing. If the lower body has to have sharp edges, then at least make them remain sharp for the one trait that it definitely makes no sense putting fur over?
Color 3 also confounds me a bit, I have only seen it change the color of the "eyebrow" crescent moons above the head, a small part of the vines on Floral Garland, and the little incense/bell/thingy accessory on Fairy Wings. Maybe this is intentional, though it might perhaps throw some color schemes off if someone thinks it solely affects the little crescent moons, it seems like a rather narrow use of the color, unless I am missing something big!
Now enough of the opinions - I do have a bug to report regarding the new and improved Floral Garland, I don't know if it has been brought to your attention already or not, but I will mention it anyway. Female Lunes with Floral Garland have a set of pinkish spots around the bottom left flower, as shown in the picture below:
(If you want to recreate the problem - go to the Sylesti generator, input Lunemara as the species and Floral Garland as a visible M2 trait, leave -all- colors white, and look at the female image.) The male does NOT have this same issue. And yup, it does persist on all female Lunes with Floral Garland, even if you have selected other colors (that just makes it harder to notice).
But in short, thank you for the revamp, it's an undervalued species that will hopefully get more attention from the community now that it's all fresh and new. :)
Edit: I -really- miss the old, beautiful Branch Wings! The new ones are just not the same.

Personally... I love the revamp. Lunemara were very boring to me before, but the new fairy-moth look is both more interesting and feels more fantasy-esque and magical then before. I don't see the creepy-human element others have mentioned; to me they just look cute and fluttery. An entire hive of them for my player house, please! <3 *Winkwinknudgenudge*
Problems with gene colors and spots, layering glitches, and other normal revamp issues aside, the fundamental changes to the Lune bases are, in my opinion, good ones. Just wanted to throw in my two cents. ^^
My Zombies thank you.

I have to say that I like the new lunes more, too. They have never been a species I liked much, until the new look. As far as the color updates go, on the whole, I like the new ones more. For the Autumn Night lunes, I love both options equally, and would love to see both be available. For the Fairy Lights lune, I really do like the red better, but I am torn, because the yellow of the new look looks much better with some genes/mutations. The Halloween lune is the only one where I like the original more with all the genes.

Thank you, everyone, for all of the feedback so far. Whether positive or negative regarding the species and artwork, it is very helpful and we are reading through every single post to try and get a full picture of everything.
So please keep posting your feedback. We are listening.
That said, the following things are being looked at:
-Symmetry of ladybug gene and ladybug wings.
-Their heads (AKA, the "baldness" issue).
-Dragonfly (and maybe also Ladybug/Mantis) Wings for better shading or coloring... to show that iridescent look.
-Specifically the excess of fluffy fur on Firefly.
-Branch Wings' glowy-ness and lack of G3 visibility.
-Glow Dust and part of Lucky Dust to make them more visible.
-Something to make gene-less Avatar Wings more detailed.
-The shell part of Ladybug Wings. No planned action yet, but we are looking at options.
