You yell out and kick around loose pebbles, the sounds echoing down the cave.
"W-who's there?"
A weak voice calls out.
Slowly, a figure approaches, holding a dim lantern so you can barely make out the person's features.
He looks at you, dropping his lantern in surprise, and the cave sinks back into darkness.
What should you do?

You crawl faster, pebbles and other stuff falling behind you as the rumbling grows louder. Finally, you see light, and make crawl out of the tunnel. The rest of the tunnel collapses, and the mouth of the tunnel is covered in dirt. You wouldn't know anything was there if you didn't have dust and dirt all on your clothes.
Getting over the shock, you look around and realize that the large wall was nowhere in sight. You weren't even in the same area. In front of you is a forest with a messy dirt path and behind you is a savanna-like area. You see in the distance a figure walking around.
What do you do?

The creature whines and nudges your hand. It sticks to your side, and it doesn't seem to want to leave it.

You run until you're a few meters away from the pterodactyl creature. You turn around as the thing starts walking towards you menacingly. Out of nowhere, a creature leaps out of the bushes and faces the pterodactyl thing. It seems as if it was the one following you.
The animal growls, and to your ears, it seems cute, but the other creature lets out a disappointed sounding huff and flies away.
The brightly colored luffox turns and bounds back to you, its eyes crinkled in a startlingly human eye-smile.

"Hello!?" I call out to the figure. Maybe I can finally get some answers.

I hold my hand out to the Luffox, letting it sniff me. "Ello there pretty girl, thanks for the help! Would you like to come with me on an adventure?"
(yes my character has an aussie accent lol)

The figure straightens up, and turns in your direction. It stays still for what seems like an eternity before walking away. It doesn't seem to be going very fast however, and if you run, you might be able to catch up. The sun beats down on your back as it grows hotter by the minute. The forest seemed like a good option because it provides shade, but you have a gut feeling that this person might know what's going on
