Squeeeeeeeee!!!!!! I love them. I'd like to see a bit fluffier feathers on the tail, but I'd still love them even without it. Thier faces are sooo adorable. Makes me so glad I'm doing a Nyte project. Want...more...nytes... now.

They're so cute! Maybe a bit more fluff, but cute!

I'm disappointed with the turn the Nytekrie designs took. Within Sylestia's lore Nytekrie are fearsome, selfish, and skilled hunters. The redesigns are..not that. They are cute and proud-looking, but I feel that Sylestia has plenty of regal but not exceptionally tough pets. Nytekries, as described, would be indifferent or an ally at best; not easily befriended, and never a housepet. This isn't a new complaint either; in the 3.0 sketches thread, the most common issue was that they weren't fierce enough. Other users' sketches that implemented sleek dragon and hawk-like features - especially eyes and expressions - garnered so much support in the 3.0 thread that I was confident these suggestions would be considered. Seeing that this issue hasn't been addressed while the revamp is in its final stages makes me feel like the community isn't being heard, which is disheartening since it's something I've honestly never felt about Sylestia.

I'm ready for the revamp to go live, the detail and expressions are well done.
It will take some time to get used to the tail feathers which look a lot like wheat grain, and the head feathers being all swishy and soft looking.
I always thought the head feathers were more like stiff ear like structures... but oh well with some time im sure i'll get used to it.
The only thing that is throwing me off is the tails. It looks like they have pinecones in the center? Maybe changing the shape slightly, or not having such sharp lines on the outer edge of the "pinecone" would help some for me. I'm not a digital artist, so I hope that make sense.
Great work, so excited!!!
I agree with the pinecone thing.
Also, the whole tip portion looks less like a cluster of feathers and more like a blade of some sort. Not sure if that's intentional or not. Maybe it's the pinecone thing throwing my perception off, but it seems kind of weird.
They look awesome otherwise! Sort of a owl-dragon hybrid.

Been meaning to ask, when is the revamp of Nephini taking place? Having both wings on the far side of the males is driving me a little nuts.

Go back a page and look at my post. Compare the pine cones to the dried teasel image: Those tails look nothing like pine cones, they aren't even the same shape. I'd be more concerned with the size of the female's hips, since anything that narrow, now that I look closer, is unlikely to be able to lay eggs. I'm pretty sure those were wider the first time I looked, but now she looks like a half-grown pullet, instead of a full grown female.
What happened?

Last I saw, it isnt going to be a full revamp like the Lupora and Nytekrie. Instead, the plan is to maybe move around/improve some traits, and perhaps alter coloration & things like that. After the Nytekrie, the next species up for a full revamp, more or less in order, are the Faelora, Luffox, and Bulbori. I think I saw that the Lighira is going to get the same treatment as the Nephini at some point.
