"Possible. Maybe..." Nikkie says, concentrating for a moment. After a moment, in his place is a tiny kitsune. The adorable kitsune looks up at you, keeping close, but not close enough to trip you up.
The spiders hiss, eyes gleaming in sudden glee. The floor ahead of you is coated in webs. You will probably manage to make it across if you run for the opening while it is still there.
Nikkie seems to be planning on making a run for it already, muscles bunching underneath his hide.

As you two travel down the path, it splits off.
One way seems to lead to a more sure path.
The other seems to point to a dead end.

Kua-Rashianaka

She sighed. "You can do this." She ran towards the opening.

Vagabond goes down the sure path.

"What if the dead end.. wasn't really a dead end?"

Nikkie runs after you, stumbling the first few steps, but quickly regaining his stride. The spiders hiss, crawling after you.
"I... won't be... as fast as... you are... If I don't... make it go... on... without me..." Nikkie growls, nearly stumbling each time he put pressure on his right front leg. He launches himself at a spider that got to close to you, tackling it and quickly taking it down. He gets his paws under him again, continuing the sprint after you.

Well, you wouldn't be finding out any time soon as a wall cuts off the path you were just on. Sammantha trots next to you, turning into a fuzzy feline.

The sure path seems to be a regular not inhabited path for once. You can probably rest up here if you ever need to.

"Nikkie!" She scooped Nikkie up. "I'm not letting you die in the first hour."

"You are if it means you get to live longer. I'm weak as it is." Nikkie protests, but keeping still so he doesn't end up slowing you down. The small kitsune is lighter than expected. Unfortunately, it seems that the running has opened the bullet wound back up, and he seems to be bleeding again.

The spiders hiss in annoyance, speeding up as they sensed your fear grow. They became a little bit crazed as they sensed Nikkie's blood, going into a wild frenzy and attacking any moving thing. So far, the spiders were still behind you and you had a somewhat good chance of getting to where the webs stopped before the spiders catch up with you.

Vagabond conisders his choices, and decides to rest. He stays half awake in case anything comes by.
