@Xavion,
Yay~ That's exciting news.

I have a rough sketch so far. I was thinking maybe a little bird or a sloth stuffed animal. I saw the sloth message and kept reading that he's a squishball ahah. this was the pose I was thinking of, If you have any ideas lmk. Also happy to do any alternative outfits -- although a sloth onesie would be a bit hard for me atm. I didn't want to make it too complicated a pose because I haven't drawn much recently. uwu

The sloth plushie is soooo adorable! X3

But it does make him look like an actual child and he's a tiny bit bitter that people tend to assume he isn't an adult based on his appearance. ^^; I love it just because it's so adorable! But realistically I can't see Zoryn ever taking an interest in plushies. It'd quickly take "Is that a teen or just a really short adult..?" to "Yeah that's either a strange teen or a tall kid." ^^; I can't do that to him, lol

They do have a husky puppy, though, and I think adding her in would fit well with the pose. Super fluffy, classic black and white coat, something along the lines of this. She's also really well trained, so no licking; nuzzles fine, puppy breath bad.

Outfit-wise, I love how the shirt's falling off the shoulders since he's got a small frame. Maybe a good bit longer, though? I can't help but think "If the shirt was fitting properly, it'd be one of those crop tops that show off the belly o_O; That's just asking for some seriously unwanted attention .__.; "

Overall though I'm absolutely loving it <3

Husky puppy is so cute!! I'll go that route. :) Thank you for the image reference too.

And ah I haven't drawn the clothes yet, I just put something on so he's not naked haha. I was just wondering if you wanted the same clothes as in the picture you referenced to me.

And yeah, something like the reference image works great! (I had assumed that's what you were going for, actually ^^; For just throwing something on him, you pretty good! XD )

Um.. I would like to request a design.

It will be a Ny'vene design based on my spring themed submission, the Amazon Rainforest Ny'vene!

Here is what they looked like:

I had to change it to this, as Flowered Headpiece cannot be regenned:

That isn't the only selection I'll take though.

I will accept these traits for the design:

G1: A, B, D, E, F, H, I, J, K, M, O

G2: A, B, C, D

G3: A, B, C, D (C is okay, but not preferred.)

M1: A, B, C, E, F, G, H, I

M2: A, B, C, E, F, I, K

M3: A, B, possibly C

Thanks! I promise to follow the rules and procedures! Oh, and regens please!

Sorry it took me a while to respond! I've been insanely busy .__.'

Overall the design is a little... toooo green for my personal liking. There aren't many "contrast points" to draw the eye's focus in with the sole exception of the G3 color, but that's strictly seen on the wings. The rest tends to get overwhelmed by the inevitable repeated use of C2, C3, or EC depending on traits (maybe one day they'll get to make proper use of accent colors because wow they have so many bulky, stacking traits and layers that would benefit from some color variance...) and the similarities of the G2, M1, and M2 colors paired with the subtlety of the G1. I love the colors for the wings, but the body of the Ny'vene is just lost in a flurry similar colors that turn it into a big green blob with no discernible "flow" to the shape @.@

(For the record, my vision itself isn't exactly "standard." I've been light sensitive for most of my life so without contrast points to focus my vision on, there literally IS NO FOCUS for me; it's all a blinding spray of nonsensical color.)

I'm not sure how flexible you would be about tweaking the design?

I could change a few colors; which ones would you change?

I wasn't very good at themed designing back then..

Hehe, I've been there on "back then" designs, certainly. A lot of pet design comes down to experience, and learning the quirks of the species itself that can make up for their technical flaws, or even turn flaws into benefits. Like with the Ny'vene and their repetitive but nonsensical use of color slots, the best trick to use for the Ny'vene is coordinating colors for traits with similar patterns.

Combinations like Petal Markings and Red Admiral which essentially add "spots" to the wings and body.
(EC and C3 matched in color)

Cecropia Markings and various G1s work similarly.
(G1 matched to G3)

Matching the M1 and M2 colors also tends to give the Ny'vene a more cohesive look since the majority of the mutations are part of a set. (For example, having a black skull with a white skeleton just looks... not right. The broken color pallet makes it far less believable and turns the Ny'vene from an awesomely creepy beasty to 'what up with that derpy Halloween mask..?')

Going into mutations, like I mentioned before the contrast in the G3 color was my favorite part of the design. Matching the M1 and M2 with a darker green should help tie things together more.

I tested a few combinations with the color tweaks and took a liking to those, but I figure I'd pass it back to you to see what changes you approve of and which traits suit your interest with the proposed tweaks :)

Yea, makes sense.

I understand the M1/M2 thing, it's just hard to work out Ny'vene quirks xd

I accept your tweaks.
