You make your way to the canal, feeling yourself shivering.
You find yourself at the part of the canal you were at just earlier today. Knight isn't at this part - but since this is a dead-end, there is only one way to go.
You don't have a knife in your inventory. The only weapon you have is a staff - but if you wanted, you could use your small hatchet or your small pick. However both are tools and will be less efficient.
He lands behind a clump of thick grass, crouching while you move away to to person.
As you near, you are aware of how tall this creature is. You could go for diplomacy or violence in order to borrow or steal their torch - the warm source of fire crackling and burning in the night air.
"Friend? Hardly, but considering he's my son I have to put up with him," she chuckles. Hornet's face turns more exasperated by the second.
"But if you think that is the best path to take, then so be it. I will not force you to join us," she smiles warmly. "And yes, I think we shall meet again some day." Her smile turns into a cheeky grin. "But just so you know who you're dealing with, you've earned the favour of the Golden Sunrise clan."
+1 Favour with the Golden Sunrise clan
"May your road be a safe one," Hornet nods to you, stepping away but stopping to wait for Farstride. "Come on. If we wait around much longer we might be discovered."
Farstride nods to you too. "And a happy road at that. Farewell, Delilah," she says, trotting after Hornet. They both disappear into the crowds a few seconds later.
Delirious offers a sort low wave in the direction that they'd left in, before turning to the direction that was opposite from the housing district. Picking up her hooves she begins to head to the outskirts of the town as quickly as she possibly could.

After a while of walking in the dark and the cold, you come across Knight. He's nose deep in the canal, his tail wriggling around as he moves his head around.

You throw the hatchet at the rabbit, but it misses. The rabbit leaps away in fright, disappearing into the grass.

I run after the rabbit hoping to finish it off.

The figure spins, growling. You see its large tusks, its pointed ears and broad shoulders and realise, too late, that this is an Orc. And evidently not a friendly one - it roars, dropping the torch in the grass and wielding a large hammer. It spins, trying to figure out where you are in the dark.
Once its eyes are adjusted to the dark, it's going to see you immediately - an Orc's night vision is incredibly good.

As you are in great pain because of the poison, this is pretty much impossible. You are forced to a barely-brisk walk to the edge of town
This turns out to play to your favour, however. A pair of militia gallop past, alert and scanning the crowd. One of them glares at you as you get in his way... but he carries on without stopping.
So you aren't who they're looking for, since they never actually saw you. They must be looking for Hornet and the other Centaur from Farstride's group instead, as they know that those two played a part in the destruction of the warehouse.
