" Anything that can settle my stomach. " She said. " If I don't eat for too long I'll get sick. "

"Not a problem, I'll be right back."

Lowell
"You've been running around enough. Let me."

Giselle
"Not a chance, big guy. Last time I let you go anywhere around this place unsupervised, you had half the palace guardsmen panicking. Like I said, I'll be right back." She flicked Lowell over the nose, catching a grunt from him as he relented as she stepped out of the room.

Lowell
"..Although I do wonder if it is best to give you two privacy." He muttered under his breath.

Gallagher watched Giselle leave before turning back to Seraphina. " Are you sure your alright? "

" I'm fine, Gallagher. You worry too much. "

" I only worry about you. You need to be more careful. "

" I will. In the future. Stop worrying about me, Gallagher. I assure you, I am fine. "

"In the future?
Your Majesty, if not for yourself, then please think of your country and the others around you. You do not currently have an heir and what becomes of this country is entirely in your hands.
The Empress Dowager was fighting back tears when she caught sight of the state you were in earlier. And Gallagher himself has not left your side or kept his eyes off you since we have returned.
I worried that he'd worry himself ill over you. Telling him especially to not worry about you goes against all that he has pledged his life for."
Lowell was surprisingly stern unreserved about this, as if something about it had tripped off a nerve somewhere.

" ...I know. I'm fully aware of that. I just..." She sighed softly. " I'm sorry, Gallagher. I just want to be okay, and with everyone worried about me, it makes me feel like I'll never actually be fine. "

Lowell approached her, taking a knee and dipping his head in respect to her.
"If it comes to your position as a ruler, then that is on us to continue to defend with our own lives."
He looked up at her, meeting her eyes.
"But if it comes to you as a person, know that you have our support even if it is something we cannot directly solve for you."

She nodded. " Thank you, Lowell. I appreciate it. ...As a person, of course. "

He gave her a bit of a smile before sighing as Giselle returned with food.
"Your Majesty, if I may ask, what is it that troubles you so deeply?"

She ruffled Lowell's hair, handing the plate of food over to the Empress.
"You know you shouldn't go around asking a lady that question, you big oaf."

She took the plate. "It's not something I want to talk about. " She said softly. " And thank you. "
