A round a day later, the Empress was well back up on feet and healthy enough to resume her usual court affairs, along with pressing issues, such as her attempted and almost successful assassination.

Lowell had kept himself busy compiling notes on various things through this time. He was lost enough in his work that Giselle had to shake him from it to remind him of his court with the Empress.

"Did you forget? Serious, Lowe.. What is all this? When you asked me what I knew on dark magic, I didn't expect you to go to such a length to try to dissect it.."
She sighed. "Here, I'll hide it. Go see the Empress, honey."

Lowell
Lowell was a bit annoyed at being bothered until he noticed the time, gave Giselle a nod, and quickly made his way off to his audience with the Empress.

The Empress was just finishing off several letters and such to a certain kingdom across the (oh god I love this name) Yolan ice desert, mainly to secure Diane's safety after she persecuted her mother and real father. But considering how that wouldn't take much longer she swiftly got ready for her audience with Lowell.

Lowell stepped into the court, surprisingly well dressed despite his tired state. Seemed Giselle was at least forcing him to look presentable for once, whether he cared much for it or not.
He gave her a bow in greeting.
"Greetings, your Majesty. This.. should be fairly quick, I hope."

" I hoped you rested well, Lowell. " She said. " What did you want to speak to me about? "

He grumbled slightly. It was clear he hadn't, too unnerved to let Sairel have any chance at repeating its nightly shenanigans. The ward had helped, but he could still feel the demon's energy gnawing at the holy magic here and there.
