You wander away from the town, your steps sluggish, travelling over rolling hills and among clumps of tall grasses and flowers.
You must be heading north - seen as it must be about early afternoon, the sun above you and a little to your left.
After a while you come across a small, burbling spring emerging from some jagged boulders. It trickles down into a small stream that curves off into the distance, northwards.
Delirious leans down and runs both of her hands back and forth through the water a few times before standing up straight again. Looking further down the stream she begins to follow it slowly trotting along beside it in search of a place to rest for the night.

You should be close enough to strike it - hopefully, considering your current skills at hunting.

I strike at the rabbit using the hatchet hoping to make the rabbit's death as quick and painless as possible.

The Griffin nuzzles into you - still in part the caring little hatchling that popped out from his egg all those years ago. Course, he's a lot bigger now.
You fall asleep to the warmth of the torch and your familiar, a little uncomfortable but feeling safe and secure nonetheless.
When you wake, the torch has finally gone out. You feel a little cold in the crisp morning air, but nothing serious. Skywhisper is holding the egg to the sun again, a morning-time habit he is forming. He notices you are awake, chirruping in greeting.
"Still alive and kicking," he says cheerily. He places the egg back into the vine carrier, patting it. "And the harness is still as strong as ever. The vines haven't started decomposing yet."
You feel your stomach rumble. Time for breakfast, then.

(That is quite a number... allow me to make that 26 xD No worries, take all the time you need - as is the common idea, real life is always more important c:)
Knight smiles happily, lowering his head to you and nuzzling you. He looks deep into your eyes, waiting in place as if expecting something.

The stream carves into the land, leading you onwards. No immediate places that would make a suitable place to rest appear, and the sun slowly sinks to the horizon with no more luck.
However, you might not need a fire and any serious shelter. After all, it isn't Clearsky all year long.
Eventually you see that another, bigger stream joins up with the one you've been following. Or at least, one used to. As you near you realise that the bigger stream's bed is dry and cracked, though it has still left its mark on the land. It has carved out a deep depression that won't be a simple jump down to the bottom of.
In one bank, what looks like a cave dips down a little ways. It looks like a good little place to hunker down for the night, mostly out of the way.
It's the season of Goldsky! Travelling will be simple, as the days are hot and the weather is clear and dry. However travelling in such heat can be hard and arduous, so make sure to rest occasionally to get out of the sun.

NIcote gently puts his hand on the wyvern and meets his gaze.

I smile and pull out some griffin food and a sixth of the bread for myself. "Breakfast time!"

Delirious looks both ways, searching for a lower point to jump down into the river bed from. She didn't wish to break her ankles out here while she was alone. If she can find a way down she'll head towards the cave and take shelter for the night.
