Lowell tapped a finger on his arm expectantly staring at her. His expression made it apparent he did not exactly believe her.
"Then why the hesitation on answering?"

Lowell added, with a bit of a stifled growl.
"Your Majesty, I do not ask such a thing to discredit your authority at this time or annoy you, but if it were me in your position and I had been both thrown under the influence of dark magic and almost murdered by my own kin, I'd frankly be absolutely furious."

" I do not consider them my kin. '' she sighs. " Politics are messy, that's a given. There's nothing I can do about that. "

Lowell huffed and shook his head.
"Then I won't pry any further. I believe it would be overstepping my bounds as your servant to do so regardless.
I think we have covered everything I had on mind, your Majesty. I won't waste your time any further."

" You are excused, then. We have nothing further to talk about. "

Lowell gave her a bow and excused himself.
As much as her state bugged him, he didn't feel the need to pester her further. It seemed the royal family had most things covered.

Most anyways. He decided to pay Gallagher a visit to check up on him.

Gallagher was kinda just...walking around. He also had a lot of things on his mind, similar reasons.

Lowell managed to flag him down in the courtyard after some searching.
"Didn't think I'd ever see you outside during the day. Glad to see it." He took a seat on the decorative iron bench across from him, glancing a bit sideways at the angel who had flinched at his presence nearby.

Ezael
Es cracked open an eye briefly before scooting away a bit and returning to his meditation. A bird on his shoulder angrily chirped at Lowell.
"No, no. He's fine. His soul will face eternal damnation, sure, but he is not a threat to me personally."
He muttered to the bird, immediately quieting it.

" Taking a walk is the best way to think. I just so happened to walk outside. " He said.

"As one typically does at some point."
Lowell folded his arms and leaned back against a tree.

"So what do you intend to do about the Empress? I know you're still worried, but it seems she won't even give you so much as time of day."

" This isn't the first time shes done this, and I'm sure it won't be the last. But...it is quite unusual that shes not more...angry about this. Usually, she would be furious, but she seems oddly calm about this. "
