You bring the axe down on the rabbit, however the sudden movement alerts the rabbit and it hurls itself out of the way. The blade sinks into the earth as your prey rushes away into the undergrowth.
Unfortunately, you just don't seem to have the skills or the correct tools to hunt in this way. You can try again if you like, but it would be pointless. You have plenty of food in your pack that you can use instead.
Nevertheless, you now have some practice under your belt. Next time, with the correct tools, you have a better idea of what you should do.

A feeling as old as time creeps up your spine as you meet his eyes and suddenly you find yourself just knowing that Knight wishes to become your Familiar.
Do you accept?

Skywhisper chirps gratefully, digging into the packet. You eat the bread and feel filled for the day ahead, the sun beginning to warm you up nicely. No more fires will be needed from now on, that's for sure. In Goldsky, almost the whole day is bright and warm with very few hours of dark. Which might make it hard to sleep, but not as much as the freezing cold.
He spreads out his wings, his feathers glowing in the sun's rays. "We ready to head?"

There is a worn track down to the river bed, cleaving into the earth - revealed after a little while of purposeful searching. Another one on the other side runs parallel to it.

I frown and walk back to camp, "Numbat how do you feel about fish?"

Delirious, not wanting to search for much longer, decides that this is the best way for her to get down to the cave. She makes sure to be as careful as her semi clumsy self can be while she does so.

You get on Skywhisper's back and he rises into the air, quickly finding a thermal and soaring into the air.
You sail across the sky for some time, the sun shining brightly and the ground shooting past below you.
At some point, Skywhisper chirps, getting your attention. He points a talon at the distance, turning in that direction. At first you see nothing - Griffins' sight is better than Elves' after all - but then something forms on the horizon. It looks like blocky wagons moving across a plain ahead.

"Might it be dangerous?" I whisper, not willing to take any more chances.
