He sighed.
"Well, at least it'd make for an interesting evening. Should we send a courier then?"

" Yes. I don't think she would see us without it. "

Lowell
"Likely not. Even regarding her daughter, I feel that she is very suspicious of our motives. I would like to continue to treat lightly with her if at all possible. I'll have one sent, but it may be best for you to keep an eye on the Empress herself until we can get a reply from her."

He nodded. " Will do. Anything else we need to go over? "

Lowell
"..Nothing urgent anyways. I would prefer to largely hold my tongue with you on the other matter, but just know that I worry for the state of your own mind too, Gallagher. This woman is destroying your heart.
Would it hurt to attempt to ask for her hand?"
He folded his arms, clearly serious about this. His expression showed that he was at least empathetic with his situation, but his tone remained stern.

"Station aside. I do not think it would do well for either if you to continue to remain as individually unhappy as you are."
