Lowell
"I am almost certain she would consider it. But it seems you both would rather die in torment of your own personal feelings." He sighed.

"Gallagher, I would not ask such a thing if I did not see you as a man of character and a close friend. I only want what is best for both of you.
Know that much."

At this rate, Lowell was wondering if further intervention was required. He figured it was best not to meddle in their love affairs, but he knew full well Giselle would force his hand anyways or brew her own schemes.
That woman was definitely a trickster.

" Thank you, Lowell. I appreciate it, but I do not think she will return my feelings, and if she did, I could not be the husband she needs. "

Lowell
"You do not need to prove yourself to anyone. I will give the Empress my personal recommendation, if need be."
He shook his head and took off.

"Time will tell, friend. I will send for the courier."

He nodded, turning and walking away.

(why are all the characters in the rps I'm in so romantically frustrated lmao)

Lowell
After a bit of writing and Giselle's proofreading, Lowell had a letter sent off with a courier to the Empress Dowager with their concerns regarding her daughter and their request for her aid.

He sighed as he returned to his quarters, propping his head on his hand.

Giselle
"This is really eating at ya, huh, big guy?"

Lowell
"This entire situation is, yes. I do not like feeling as helpless as I am in all affairs."

Giselle
"Welcome back to the life of being a noble, Lowe." She laughed a bit, flicking a strand of his hair aside.

Lowell
"Har har. Well, I wouldn't ever ask for the pressures of royalty. I suppose I should be glad."

Not long after, only about an hour or so, the Empress Dowager sent the two a reply.

Giselle
Giselle had gotten hands on it, bring it back to Lowell's quarters, shaking him out of a nap.
"Mail time, Lowe. She got back to you pretty quickly too."

Lowell
"I'll say.." He grabbed his glasses from the nightstand, putting them on as Giselle opened the scroll and began reading it quietly.

(i imagine this in an Australian accent)

'In response to your last letter, before I loan off my valuables to you, I politely request that you give me further information regarding this whole ordeal. I am not entirely comfortable with it either, so I suggest you watch your words. I would also prefer the information in person. '

(oi wulf what ye doin' with me bloody daughter)

Lowell
Lowell pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing as Giselle read the scroll outloud.
"Did I not have you check things before we sent it off?"

Giselle
"Yup, didn't expect her to get so touchy though."

Lowell
"In hindsight, I should have consulted Gallagher. He seems to have a better hand at dealing with the sensibilities of royals than either of us. Let's go. It would be best to bring him and the angel along regardless."

Giselle
"Agreed. Let's not waste any time either."
She pulled Lowell along after he had gotten redressed, setting off to find the two in question.

(oh god I laughed so hard at that)

Gallagher was just returning from a visit with the Empress. She was still acting quite....strange, and calm.

(calm down mate! bloody hell...)
