You did say spring related pets but does being inspired by a flowery town like Verdanturf town or Floaroma town from Pokemon count? Like the impression I get from it both visually and through the music makes me feel like I'm in a place that feels as gentle as a spring breeze. Would it be okay to be inspired by the colors/theme of the location even though its technically not related to spring in reality?
Similarly, would it be okay to draw inspiration from pokemon that give off the feeling of spring such as Liligant?

To make sure of what I'm trying to say when I say "inspired by" I of course mean whatever "feeling" Im getting from the mentioned place/[insert outside source not from reality] and then getting the color schemes from those places/[non-reality source] and putting them onto the pet. This will of course influence what kind of mutations/genes I'll be putting into the pet. Also to prevent copy right if I were to name the type of pet it wouldn't be "Verdanturf Vulnyx" it would instead be the "feeling" like "WindyPetals Vulnyx" or something that I get from the piece after I've finished.


I understand if this is not to be accepted, but I wanted to try and see if the option is or isn't available before I get to work on creating submissions for this thread.

I'm pretty sure you can gather inspiration from anything that makes you think of spring, or anything appropriate to the Spring Festival. :)

If in the case your design(s) would be chosen, I'm sure Krin/Fai will take appropriate action to name the themed pet discreetly and not anything copyrighted.
The exact last and final name of the themed pet may doesn't have to be the exact inspiration or quoted words given by the person who made the design.

i.e. if you made a design named Verdanturf Vulnyx, inspired and based on Verdanturf Town, and it were chosen, it can be implemented under the name Viridian Vulnyx or Windy Petals Vulnyx, like you said.

Also, these designs will be applied to the wild/wheel themed pets you'll be seeing in the festival, so mutations/genes wouldn't really matter, moreso the colors and species that you apply the design to.

So whether or not your inspiration is based on a real place or not, as long as it fits the bill really, you can get it from anywhere. :)
