It's been in open beta yes but everyone should expect changes. Changes can be scary at first and some might not be what some users may like, but lots of thought is put into making them, and changes are necessary for the site to grow and evolve. Look at Neopets for example. If they stayed the same way they did when they were first created, they wouldn't be the powerhouse they are now. Sylestia is still a young site, but overall they're trying to be the best they can and learning and growing along the way. ^.^ They do read everyone's comments and suggestions, which is amazing that the owners work so closely with the user base. I only look forward to Sylestia growing and getting even better!

I'm very much on the fence about this one. While some of my Vulnyx still look lovely:

I don't even recognize the first one and the second one had much more pleasing, pastely colors that I couldn't pass up when I ran into him, which is saying a lot because I'm picky. While I miss flame design and think that the different genes blend together too much, seeing the Vulnyx that others have ended up with and thought up really excites me! This wasn't a species that I would go out of my way for before, but some of these designs look simply amazing with the new look! The site is growing and the pets are growing with it. I never really took a liking to Lupora or Nytekrie because I didn't think that the designs looked finished for them. They look like they lack shading or something. I'll have to decide if I want to keep the Vulnyx that aren't looking too good anymore, but I'll get over that.

I also would like to bump up the whole female fang thing. The males have a teeny bit of shading on theirs which makes all the difference.
Also, I can't deny the art. Whoever drew up these designs did an amazing job and that needs appreciation!

I should really have read forum first. I went to hatchery and was so confused about the one pet in there. LOL

To be honest i really didn't like what it did to my starter pet.

I had a perfect red and black Vulnyx and now i have this -

Flame design replaced with lynx not exactly happy about that, if there's anyway i can get my flame design back on her i would be a bit happier. And for some reason the colour orange was brought out when before it wasn't even there. I do like the wings though looks very intimidating now.


I have to say one of the benifits to this is it made them look much more intimidating.

maybe on the more popular pets they draw a few designs and the players vote on their favorite revamped version?

While I still miss my flame design, looking at them as a new species and the right colors do make them look good.


I used a pet dye to change the ugly brown fur, face and feet to a dark blue and he looks fantastic now.
