I'm glad you like it! I'm considering making it a project even if it doesn't win. ^^ Yours is nice too; I like the contrast that the bits of light yellow provide.

Based upon a clear autumn night, with leaves blowing gently in the wind.

thanks! and i'd love to buy one if you ever do create one:P they're amazing^^
Amidst the ashes of a post-apocalyptic realm, viridescent leaves emerge from tarnished metal.
Spindly arms of wood and vine slip in and out of forsaken monoliths built out of the shattered hopes and dreams of mankind. At long last it was time for nature to redeem its lost territory.
Soon, the chilled wind brought a red and gold blush to the leaves, eventually carrying them down to their final resting place. Once again, the cycle of creation and destruction had made its mark on the land.
I was inspired by the idea of ebb and flow. The passage of the seasons bring along life; and death. The design supposedly captured the ongoing battle between man and nature, the circle of life. The green shock runes atop the ghostly monochromatic colors represent that idea. As for the red and gray ghostly wraps, they are the reminders of the transfixed atmosphere of the setting, which was inspired by Chernobyl (a Ukrainian "ghost town" that had been ravaged by a nuclear disaster). now, you might ask, how does the theme of autumn tie in with this? The thing is, autumn follows along in the seasonal cycles of birth and death, it marks the beginning of the duration of "death" (animals hibernate and trees lose their leaves).

This is what I always thought a Will'o the Wisp would look like. A dark shadow like creature, shrouded in a light wispy cloak that frayed away behind them into a fog, that captured the eye of lost people in woods, helping them escape.

It's nearing the end of fall now so I based this girl on the transition between Fall and Winter. The time when most of the leaves have already fallen off and are beginning to turn brown as they decay. When you can tell that it's getting ready to snow but you're not quite there yet.

The Setting Sun
Night falls, and the shadow spreads across the sky slowly, yet leaves the remnants of its luminescence behind in the moon (the eyes) and stars.

This is my Pumpkin Latte Ryori. I was wanting to eventually make him anyway because I think he turned out perfect and fully embodies what a pumpkin latte looks, smells, and tastes like, Even down to the little Allspice and Cinnamon specks. Tell me he doesn't make you think of one and I will tell you that you must have never experienced one.

The Early Snowfall Ryori
In the country in which I live the first snowfall can be anywhere from September to January. The part of the country where I live usually sees the snowfall in early December but early November is not out of the question. The look I'm trying to bring to mind is snow falling on a pitch black night.
