Not sure if anyone knows this answer or not but I got my Legendary egg for 2,480 scales. However I'm seeing that my pet is a Vis 3 with zero carries. I thought legendary eggs usually came with 6 traits (some carries and some visible.)?

Your pet does have six trait points. A visible trait is 2 trait points. A Legendary pet has 6 trait points worth of traits, be it 6 carries, 1 vis and 4 carries, 2 vis and 2 carries, or 3vis. Scale shop eggs in the 2400 scale range are always 3 vis. Your pet does have hidden traits under its' visible traits. If you look your pet up in the search function, you will see that it has M1: Ice Wings(hidden Feathered Wings), M2: Back Spikes(hidden Dimetrodon Fin), and M3: Triceratops Horns(hidden Thorny Armor Helm).

oh lol I understand now! I was thinking it had 3 carries and 3 vis!

These eggs are the rarest you can come by in the shop. In terms of how often, I don't have a solid number. There have been days where I have not seen a single one, then there have been days where I've seen 4 or 5 people get one. The scale shop eggs refresh on the hour, 15 minutes past, the half hour, and 45 minutes past the hour. It's best just to check it.

This little guy just hatched, and I quite like his mutations =)
That's him as an adult, I'll just need to change the colours to make him sparklier ;D
