Her paws hit the ground as she fought the water. She felt water enter her nostrils and her eyes and tried to scream, but only swallowed more water. Her wings of flame could not save her from the waterthat put them out so quickly.

The sylesti cautiously walked on throughout the eerie cave, it's own slow paw steps echoing. Each hair was on end, though needing to continue forward considering it's young have wandered in here. Keeping hold of hope that it's children were looking for them, the sylesti continued on-wards with determination.

the selesti looked down on there enemy, but the selesti could not bring them selves to kill them. you elect to give them mercy. you start to walk away when you here a voice behind you "What are you doing?" they ask. "i'm giving you mercy" you say calmly. "coward!" they cry out as you walk into the darkness of the woods.
(when i was creating the sylesti for the prompt I thought that it would be funny if it was a male trying to get his babies back before his mate found out.)
(I also think that there is going to be a string of undertale themed posts now XD )

(this is from the point of view of the sylesti)
I never realized how easy it was to die. Throughout our lives we all believe we will live forever, though we know it is not true. It not until you step next to your Death, and say goodbye before taking its hand do you realize we cannot stay on this world forever. I could sense my Death, a cold, dark, and somehow comforting figure beside me as I stepped forward in the swirling dark shadows. I knew the they were following me. I wanted them too. But not until the gates closed. Was it a noble sacrifice? I didnt know. I couldnt return home, and I wasnt part of this land.

She stalked through the shadows, blending in so perfectly it seemed she was almost invisible. She was at home here in the dark shadows under the trees. She paused the moonlight glinting off her claws and breathed in the familiar scents of the night. She was a creature of the night, but who says that's a bad thing?

The sylesti glanced down at her feet. The windblown dust from the Loess Plateau, along with a layer of local coal dust, had settled on her paws. She watched as her mate leaned to the side of the busy road. In a flash, her mate was hit(They know what cars are right?). She ran to his side,"No.... Don't go yet.."

The sylesti looked around her. all around was carnage, the remains of her home. She put down the squirming bundle in her mouth, and looked at her child. Out of her litter, she had only gotten the runt out alive. She didn't know what she would do. Her child looked at her, realizing something was wrong. The sylesti sat down and mourned her lost children.

Prancing through the streets, the sylvesti tossed her mane. Crowds cheered and drums rolled. The parade marched and the sylvesti carried a human as she led them along. Decorative scraps were thrown in the air and the sun shone brightly. She loved it.
