Cascade

Legends are told among sailors of a Kelpari residing beneath the frigid gray waves of the ocean, clad in silver armor and surfacing only during stormy weather and when ships are sinking. Though he has many names, some used more frequently than others, the name most commonly agreed upon for him is Cascade. Just like his name, his behavior varies from story to story, though there's less consensus on which tale is the most correct. Some claim that he drags struggling swimmers underneath the water to drown, while others prefer to believe that he carries them to safety. Few believe that he actually exists, though that doesn't stop sailors from trying to catch a glimpse of him while out at sea.

Sojourner Oriona

(pronounced sojourner or-ee-on-a)
Sojourner Oriona used to be a star. She was a constellation without a story, and she was sad for this. She had never had a life, and when people saw her they didn't have a story told about her. So she decided one day to make a story. She shook her mane and pranced out of the sky, sliding down to the world she watched during the night. Her starry coat glowed, and turned into beautiful red and blue body, with wings.

Nobody even noticed that she was gone from the sky, and nobody noticed her as she took on a solid body. She wasn't upset though, being made up of stars she didn't experience the bad emotions that others did. She slipped into the ocean, the one place she had never been able to see from in the sky. Not realizing that she did anything special, she glowed and lit up the water with wondering creatures. Her bright colors were very unusual, no camouflage at all. She stayed in a lake the whole night, and when day came didn't go back to her place in the sky. She tried to leave the lake during the day to explore more, but wherever she touched the direct sunlight her fins turned to stardust and fell back into the water, where they light up the ocean floor.

She had never seen the day before, and it seemed to go on for weeks and weeks. She was scared, and started going back into her star form. When the sun went down she was determined to return to her sky, where she could glow and be herself. But one thing changed her mind. In the waters she heard a sighlent cry, a plea for help. As she sparkled and glittered she glided until she found another kelpari, tangled up in seaweed. She gently pulled it off, and the other kelpari looked at her in wonder. She noticed how at the bottom of the lake the sun didn't filter through, it was too heavy, and she decided to become a star of the water. She turned fully back into her nebula form, and glided faster than anything all around, brightening everything up. That is the story of Oriona, the constellation you can only see if you look into a lake at the reflection of the stars, where she lets her true form shimmer through the water.

Florian, the Accidental Prince of Koi

Imagine this - an egg, abandoned, alone... An accident left Florian amidst a different breed of fish, koi. They knew something was different about this egg and when he hatched, his beauty was like none other. Because of his similar but differing looks, they thought he must be some sort of royalty and so they put him high on a pedestal deeming him a prince.

Royal Death Squad

In the underwater city of Aquaria, amidst the great war between the Nebulans and the Monarchs a group of Kelpari were called to reign in the mayhem. Both parties in this war feared the other; however there were 2 they feared above all else. The Royal Death Squad was known through out the seas as the bringers of Death. They were swift and just in there punishments. Lucian with his light armor and his hellish blade was known as the "King of Death" and Lucretia with her light armor and chains of fire was the "Queen of Death".

Once they arrived at the city, the two warring parties were given 24 hrs to squash this feud, or face the Royal Death Squad. Needless to say... the Nebulans and the Monarchs get along... even to this day.

Claudius:

He is loyal, brave, and a good leader. He loves to play with little kids of all species. His friends adore his lack of humor that makes him all the humorous because he is so literal. He has an extensive vocabulary but is not the most clever sylesti. His strongest attribute is his agility, followed by his strength, and endurance.

He fought in many wars with both valor and honor. Part of his extreme passion for children is due to the loss of his cohorts in battle; two kelparies, mates with 3 children, died in battle and orphaning their children. Claudius, feeling sorry for them, and having no children of his own, aided greatly in their care and eventually adopted them as his own until they grew up and were able to care for themselves.

Midnight Guardian

Born of two Dimension Guardians
With the Light of the Universe sparkling around it,
A Guardian will be born
With the power to help protect Sylestia
From all evil that tries to destroy it.

That was the prophecy passed down to every Sylesti on the night of their hatching.

We still await that day to arrive.

This is the Swirling Song Kelpari.

There once was a legend about an animal, half horse, half fish, that haunted a mysterious lake. Every night, those that lived by the shore could hear her sing. It was a deep, dark noise that bent into the night and swirled among the stars, the moon and the waves that gently lapped upon the shore.
They called this animal the Swirling Song Kelpari.
The animal would occasionally jump out of the water like a dolphin, shocking everyone that could see with her body, the blues of the night, her electrifying yellow laced wings, her flowing mane, and the glowing blue swirls that could take the breath away of almost anyone. Then, mid leap, she would sing one deep note of her song, then splash back down with an air of mystery. This is the Swirling Song Kelpari.

Shrek

Kelpari who live in the swamp are known for hiding in the mossy puddles, using their glowing, fern-like fins to attract prey and stray wanderers alike. This one has the very recognizable roar : "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY SWAMP??!"

Genesis, Lord of the Sun

The lost city of Rion was in a period of war, fire against ice. Both were facing imminent destruction, but yet they fought on, entrenched in their beliefs. Only one, a girl going by the name of Mira Jovarkis, saw her beloved city's plight. She pleaded with the kings, telling them to end this conflict, but it was useless. So she ran from Rion, seeking out a way to stop the war. Miles from home, she found herself lost in the Whispering Forest, a mysterious place no one has dared venture towards. Upon sleeping there, she was constantly visited by a figure: a mysterious water horse, bearing the colors of fire. He told her to journey to Mount Origin, where she would find the answer to her quest. Leaving the forest, she made her way to the mountain, and found the water horse. He told her that he would stop the fight, but at a great cost: she would never be able to return to Rion. Upon hearing this, she pleaded for another way. But Genesis told her there was none, for peace and justice doesn't come without a price. Sadly, she agreed. Weeks passed, and Mira lived, losing hope, day after day, for Genesis didn't return. One day, as she prepared to go back to Rion, despite what the water horse said, he came to her, saying that peace now reigned, and the people were happy. Despite her sadness, she was happy the people of Rion could coexist again, and Genesis, from then on known as the Lord of the Sun, lived on in Rionan legends.
