Thomas smiled as he watch the others, but pause when his gaze landed on Gradient. He figured that this guy was going to be his main competition in the trials, but he wasn't going to judge him before they started the trials, His main goal was to be on top, and keep Tiny Tot safe. Just then she broke his focus despite her short stature " Hey Dummy! want to learn those hand signals now?" she asked her hands on her hips and her head cocked to the side " Yeah Sorry!" he said throwing a hand behind his head. "Alright One snap is Sand storm, two is tackle, and I have not done a signal for bite yet. Though it may take some time of both the verbal commands and the signals." she said bluntly wringing some more water from her hair.

Rhys and Sylver finally came over to apologize, their Pokemon at their sides, glaring at them for their impoliteness "We're sorry for not controlling our Pokemon, and got you soaked, we also apologize for fighting instead of saying we're sorry," Sylver and Rhys apologized, looking ashamed, but still not facing each other.

Yuri smiled " It's fine, no biggie, we shouldn't have been trying to take a nap" she said with a giggle

"Well, our mistake" Sylver said, Marina and Buizel both apologized too. "Anyways, me and Sylver are going to battle now" Rhys told the two "She doesn't believe my team is more powerful than hers" He said. "That's because you aren't!" Sylver retaliated. Rhys started to head over to the battle spot "You two lovebirds have fun" Sylver cooed jokingly as she turned to catch up with her nemesis.

Yuri Raised her eyebrows at her last statement as a elbow rested on her head " Id say your more of an Ankle-biter than a bird..." Thomas said Jokingly. Yuri glared uop at him " Then You better hope I don't bite." she said gritting her teeth. Thomas too his elbow off her head and turned to Rock ruff " Alright Buddy want to try those signals again?" he asked patting his head. Standing up he held out his hand and snapped his fingers once " Use Sand Storm"

After a few minutes, there was a horrible shriek from the direction Rhys and Sylver went off to battle in, less than a minute later, a deeper voiced, but still terrifying shriek was heard in about the same place.

Vul And Ren stopped completely attentive to the noise, Instinctively Yuri raced towards the noise Vul and Litten on her heels, Thomas close behind Ren and Rockruff between the two trainers. " Hey You guys alright?!" he yelled as they got closer.

They arrived at a clearing, which seemed to have been dampened from a rain dance. Rhys and Sylver's Pokemon huddled around the cliff, glancing nervously as they looked down.
"Thomas, is that you? Please help us!" Silver cried from over the cliffs edge. Over the edge, Sylver had both her arms and legs clinging tightly to a branch, Rhys's arms were wrapped around her stomach. "We can explain later, just help us!" Rhys cried, holding on to Sylver for his life.

Ailla heard the shrieking. "Hold that thought." Ailla said returning rowlet to his pokeball while running to see what the commotion was.

"Rowlet go help those two! Ailla commanded releasing the bird from the ball. Thankfully the rowlet listened to her for once. Fly quickly over and grabbing a large stick. A little too much for it too handle but one Ailla helped to carry it they were able to quickly and easily carry it over ad drape it over the side of the cliff for sylver and ryhs to grab onto.

Gradient took off after Ailla, running among the trees where he would be nothing but a shadow, unseen.

Ah. The cliched cliff scene. Gradient almost snorted. How did these two get in a situation like this? How useless. Should Gradient leave them there? Gradient decided not. Ailla could easily pin the blame on him, calling him out. Gradient wasn't afraid of the punishment; they wouldn't dare. But Gradient had a famous reputation for being perfect; manslaughter was NOT perfect.

Gradient found his way to the cliff. Rhys was hanging on the Sylver's wrist, and Sylver was handing onto a branch. Perfect situation for romance. Many a fangirl had but Gradient and some other girl, or in some cases guy in this situation.

It didn't end well for anyone.

Gradient took Sylver's wrist, trying to pull her up. Either Sylver and Rhys were REALLY heavy, or their bags were.

The cliff wasn't that deep. Maybe ten feet, tops. Gradient smiled. He could do this. Gradient hopped down to a ledge a foot below, a foot away from Sylver and Rhys. He then hopped down the next ledge, three feet down. One more. Gradient was right below Rhys. He started pushing Rhys' feet upwards. "Any help up there?" He asked, beads of sweat on his face.

Litten hopped down to join Gradient, landing on his shoulder. Gradient's eyes widened, and he toppled down, dropping in the air.

Hours upon hours of simulations had prepared Gradient for these situations. Thankfully, there were no Pokemon nearby to murder Gradient like in the sims. Gradient curled up into a ball, and his feet found the ground.

Gradient was mostly unhurt, though with a few scrapes and bruises here and there. Grandient cursed creatively, while his Litten purred multiple apologies. Well, at least that purring frequency may or may not be speeding up Gradient's tissue regeneration.
