Was part of my spring themed design

Persephone Vulnyx:

My design is inspired by the goddess of spring in Ancient Greek mythology: Persephone.

She was abducted to the underworld by Hades (king of the underworld), who wanted to marry her and make her queen there. But her mother Demeter missed her. So that she could return to her mother, Persephone was not supposed to eat or drink anything while she was in the underworld. She ate six pomegranate seeds. This meant that she had to live with Hades and be queen of the underworld for six months every year.

When she comes back each year, she causes the flowers to bloom and plants to flourish - spring!

I choose a dark base colour for my design to represent the darkness of the underworld, where she lives half of the year. I used leaf vein markings to represent the plants that flourish when she comes out of the underworld, in a fresh minty colour that reminds me of spring. I gave her a crown, to represent that she rules over the underworld as its queen. I used dark pinks to mimic pomegranate, and used jewelled wings so that the jewels would look like handfuls of sparkling pomegranate seeds!

Inspiration: April showers bring May flowers. Colored gray for storm clouds, then the blue stands for rain.

This is my Spring Showers Griffi. My inspiration was the snow melting, rainy clouds, and spring flowers! This design includes all three characteristics. Her chest is the little remaining snow, and that melts into the blue which can also be seen as the sky for which adds to the gray dapples like rainclouds on her.

Black Swallowtail Puffadore

My inspiration is the Black Swallowtail butterfly that I see every spring time in my town. Coincidentally, I see them around my huskies so I thought of them too when I created this.

The stallion with a black mane I saw in a field when I was visiting my grandma last week is my inspiration and here's a photo of something uncanny to him.

This sylesti's inspiration is a photo I saw on a website of a black bear surrounded by bright flowers and it basically screamed floral bear and I loved it.
