In this task, we have to travel around section 1 of the Lost Grove and find the yellow exclamation marks on the map.
Once we find the exclamation mark, we interact with it, and click 'Provide Aid':
The scout returns to the barracks and your quest log updates.
Mender's Talismans - A weekly task
In order to complete this task, we need to amass 18 mender's talismans and then use them to heal our pets, as shown below:
The Trading Post - has at least two available tasks
Reclaimed Supplies - A daily task
To complete this task, we go out into the lost Grove and hunt down forest sprites until we reach 8 supplies. Note that this is not the same as defeating 8 sprites. be aware that the supplies do not have a 100% drop rate.
The battle log updates as we find more supplies:
Utilizing the Market - A weekly task
For this task, we go into the shop and use 40 supplies (gathered from enemies) to purchase any draughts, elixirs or traps:
The Training Grounds - Has multiple tasks
Ancient Ents - A daily task
This task requires us to defeat three Ancient Ents.
Nightfall Captains - A daily task
This task requires us to defeat three Nightfall Captains.
There are also daily tasks to defeat Three Crazed Druids, Twenty Nightfall Bandits and Twenty Forest Spritelings.
Oakstout the Gnarled - A weekly Task
This task requires us to go out into the Lost Grove and summon Oakstout the Gnarled by defeating Ancient Ents. Once Oakstout is summoned, we defeat him.
There are also weekly tasks that require us to summon and defeat Eleane the Duelist and Malfarian the Augur, and there is a task to initiate 6 training sessions.
Tracker's Hut - Has at least two tasks
Unprotected Nests - A daily task
For this task, we go out into the lost grove and find four nests. They will appear as bright yellow exclamation marks on the map.
Interact with it to nurture the nest.
There are two possible outcomes for doing this:
Getting this message means nothing happens. We nurture the egg and go on our way.
However, if we get this message:
Then we have a battle to go through.
We do still get the task point.
Tracking Sylesti - A weekly task
This task requires us to initiate 6 tracking sessions within the trackers hut. To do this, you click on any species that you would like to track, and you start the session:
Blacksmith's Station - Has two tasks
Collecting Scraps - A daily task
This task requires us to convert any Lost Grove pet equipment we find into enchanted powder. Any equipment can be used, but it's probably best to use exotics. To complete this task, we salvage five pieces of equipment:
Testing the forge - A weekly task
For this task, we go to the forge and reforge three pieces of equipment. Any kind of equipment can be reforged:
I tend to give this particular task a miss, as it's not really worth the effort. The rewards from this task don't really match up to the resources expended. It's better to tie this task in with your reforging plan (if you have one).

Reforging Rundown
Reforging Effects
Interestingly, the effect of reforging is different depending on what class of equipment it is:
Reforging relics provides the highest boost to attack damage (+54 to attack damage at reforging rank 2)
Reforging helms provides the highest boost to health (+180 health at reforging rank 2 as opposed to +72 for relics and +108 for bracers)
Reforging bracers provides the highest boost to the other stats: str/int and dex/agi (+17 in highest stat and +14 in second highest as opposed to +7 and +6 for relics, and +11 and +9 for helms.)
Reforging! A summary
An item can be reforged a total of 5 times. There are currently three classes of equipment that can be reforged: Exotics, Vinethorns and Stoneweave.
It is good to have a direct plan when reforging items because each reforge is progressively more expensive and some of the cheaper vinethorn upgrades are more cost effective than the more expensive exotic upgrades. Generally it's better to spend resources on upgrading vinethorn and stoneweave equips. However, for players struggling to get the latter items, it can help to upgrade exotics.
For a quick summary: reforging an exotic item to +5 has the same stats as reforging a vinethorn to +2 and the base Stoneweave items have the equivalent of a Vinethorn +3. The cost differences for exotic to vinethorn are shown below:
Vinethorn item of choice
3 Enigmatic Crystals
6 Enchanted Powder
72 Iron Ore
75,000g
Getting to +3 vinethorn makes the gear better than +5 exotic reforging does, and it still costs less. However, the reforging process for exotics is useful if you're unable to get vinethorns or enigmatic crystals. Vinethorn equips are acquired from bosses in the LG and stoneweave tomes are rarely acquired from bosses in the cave.
The bonus yielded is almost as good as vinethorn equipment (If you struggle to get any vinethorns, I would suggest aiming to get your exotics to this rank at least)
As of stage 9, a third type of pet equipment has been added to the Lost Grove blacksmith called 'Stoneweave'. These item is much more difficult to acquire than vinethorns and can only be unlocked by defeating the three summoned bosses in the cave: Dia, Demora Crystalheart and the cave dweller one. Occasionally, defeating these bosses will drop an 'Ancient Tome of Knowledge' and it is these tomes that unlock the ability to make Stoneweave equipment.
