Emerie sat up and gingerly touched the scratch on her face. It stung but it wasn't deadly. She stood up and peered out of the mouth of the cave. In front of her the ocean spread out as far as the eye could see. Emerie looked around confused, "Am I dead? Am I in heaven?" She said to herself as she looked up at the sky as if expecting an angel to come fly by.

" No... but glad to see you awake " a voice called from the other end of the opening, a boy standing there the wind rustling his hair as a stoic expression was plastered on his face a red mark on his forehead as if he had been hit

Emerie whipped her head around to look at the boy. "Who are you?" Emerie asked cautiously. "What are you doing here?"

Val narrowed his eyes again. He didn't like the way the boy said that. "Have you always been alone?"

" Nope.. There used to be two of us.. " he said looking up at you before the thunder clashed again and he jumped jerking his back into the wall

Val flinched as well, though recovered quickly. Carefully he knelt if front of the boy. "Were they human like me?" He didn't care to be honest, if this was to be his fair then he could learn to live here.

His eyes widened the closer you got but he answered none the less " N-no... " he said softly

"Your the dragon!?" Emerie cried out. "Yeah, no thank you." She said as she stepped up to the very edge of the cave's mouth and felt the outside cliff for a grip. She took a deep breath, she has scaled every cliff near her village, what's the difference? She dug her nails into a nearby ledge.

the boy rolled his eyes as you left climbing up the cliff face. There were many roots an lots of vegetation which made the climbing easier . after a moment you could see the boy poke his head out looking up at you " where ya going?" he asked tilting his head
