I sigh, slowly climbing out of bed as I subconsciously grasp my pendant. I brush my teeth, get in and out of the shower in 5 minutes, and throw on clothes blindly picked from a drawer.
I sprint to the cafeteria like a woman on fire, and only stop to catch my breath once I'm inside.
"Hah... hah. Oh boy. I... I really shouldn't have done that..." I clutch my side, mentally kicking myself for not remembering that I'm literally a phantom what the heck was I thinking. I shake it off, straighten up, and walk over to get breakfast. |
